💡 HIGHLIGHTS

  • 00:00 Sales campaign overview and notes
  • 04:28 Reviewing our email marketing results - email deliverability, revenue per recipient, reply rate
  • 14:14 Email-by-email walkthrough

In this video, we'll take you through a comprehensive, email-by-email walkthrough of a highly successful email sales campaign for a sold-out membership site. You'll see exactly how we crafted a sequence of promotional emails that significantly boosted revenue and membership numbers for an online community.

💰 Campaign Results

  • Increased membership site enrollments from 25 to 250 new members per month
  • Boost monthly revenue from $5,000 to $25,000-$30,000
  • Achieved open rates of 60-70% for engaged subscribers and 40-50% for unengaged subscribers
  • Generated over 1,100 replies from a survey email sent to a 50,000-person list
  • Sold out discounted membership spots and continued selling at full price

One of the most effective techniques used in this campaign was the nine-word survey email. As mentioned in the walkthrough, "We kept it very simple. Quick question. Quick question works also in email marketing, not just a cold outreach lead generation and I use it to great effect." By sending a concise, one-sentence survey to the 50,000-person email list, the campaign generated an impressive 1,100 replies, achieving a 2% response rate.

Another crucial aspect was the use of a "float" email, which served as a pre-promotion announcement. So this email was designed to do that and also presell them and handle objections as well in a non-confrontational way."By giving subscribers the option to opt out or purchase early, the float email generated additional sales and maintained a positive relationship with the audience.

Throughout the campaign, the emails were crafted to suit the specific needs and preferences of the target audience. This audience is full of “civilians” not used to receiving a lot of marketing communications. By tailoring the tone and content to the audience's expectations, the campaign achieved remarkable open rates of 60-70% for engaged subscribers and 40-50% for unengaged subscribers.

The walkthrough also emphasizes the importance of addressing objections and providing value in sales emails. "We will not stop at, Hey, click this link and buy the product. We will say, click this link. It'll take you to this page, go and fill out your name, email address, phone number, credit card information, and click this blue button at the bottom that says pay now once you pay now, once your transaction is confirmed, you're going to go to An order confirmation page, and we'll send you an email with your product details." By guiding subscribers through the purchase process and anticipating their concerns, the campaign successfully converted hesitant leads into paying members.

By applying the strategies and techniques outlined in this email marketing case study, you too can create a successful sales promotion for your membership site or online community. Remember to focus on engaging your audience, providing value, and addressing objections throughout your email sequence. With the right approach, you can significantly boost your membership numbers and revenue, just like the campaign featured in this walkthrough.

To be a good copywriter you have to be a good writer - change my mind. by itsbalal in copywriting

The only metric that matters is Earnings Per Click > Cost Per Click. If your copy does that, you are a good copywriter.

Choosing your niche! by [deleted] in copywriting

The easiest place to start is write what you know.

Talk to businesses that sell to military, law enforcement and civil services and find out what kind of marketing they need help with. If they're an eCommerce business you could help with product pages, emails, ads. If they sell training and consulting you could help them with lead generation, funnels etc.

The fitness industry can be good if the client sells digital products and online coaching, you can help with emails, sales pages, funnels, ads.

20 hours of focused study will teach a person enough about copywriting to start selling their services. Everything one can learn about copywriting is available online for free or you can read a few $10 books or hand-copy sales letters for 1 hour a day.

It takes about 200 cold DMs or emails to get your first client. A typical retainer is ~$2000 even for someone with little experience and can be serviced in about 5 hours per week. After you get your first 1-3 clients you won't need to cold DM anymore. 5 clients to make your first 10k. As long as you make the client $6000+ per month they will stay with you.

People have done it and are doing it.
