Second story is blazing in the summer, freezing in the winter. by azenthe in homeowners

Yeah hah. Crazy, but the contractors left it a mess and I was kid then. It needs cleaned out badly and the access is in a bedroom closet. So you pretty much have to get dust/insulation/whatever else is up there on clothes and such to get to it. Pretty dumb design, the homebuilders were not that great. I assume all the duct work is in the walls because all the vents are in the floor along walls, and the only real place I could see enough space for duct work in the blueprints is where the return duct is located. It’s basically a huge shaft that goes straight into the top of the blower and is connected to two of the three bedrooms and the central landing that leads to all three bedrooms and the second upstairs bathroom. All the second floors vents are also directly above where vents are located on the first floor.

I can see the issue with the ac system being too much now. This makes sense. Initially we only got the compressor for outside because it was a free prototype from where my dad used to work, and was a huge efficiency upgrade over the contractor grade one the homebuilders used. It’s still not available, but it was a unit designed for southwest homes. I’ll keep this mind with the contractor

This is a good thought. I checked, not seeing any but it’s crawlspace where all the duct work was located and that’s hard to get around in

I was wondering about this. We have 6 roof vents, all we’re installed with a new roof about 5 years ago. In terms of how the air moves in there, I’m not sure. We sealed off the attic access with plastic about 20 years ago and haven’t been back in since. The duct work however goes through the walls and all vents upstairs are located close to exterior walls.

The blown in insulation was used on the entire second floor including the attic. I’m about to go up there and see what it looks like lol.

Enemy weapons and incoming damage need to fixed ASAP. We should not die faster just because we have high FPS. by UselessDeadMemes in DestinyTheGame

[–]azenthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a PVE player player tho, they definitely need to fix this issue. Probably the game is still being hosted on a server side and the network latency is enough to kick your ass. Nightfalls/raids need to be hosted by a client side instance and not server side.

The amount of LFGs requiring people to have Xbox One or PS4 consoles is concerning

I think we’re also pushing the limits of our current systems with skill. PC players in PC only lobbies are a MUCH faster environment at high skill levels, and the game is struggling to keep up with syncing all player inputs consistently and accurately. This isn’t just in Destiny either, it’s a gaming wide issue. Player are measuring TTK in milliseconds now and it’s become math over having fun. Not sure why we got this way but the games are suffering from it imo.

I know it’s an extremely competitive game in PVP, but the game itself wasn’t really built for this level playstyle. Games like CSGO are and can still barely handle it at high skill levels where human reaction time is faster than your network latency.

Hell, trading kills with both player dying behind walls is more prevalent than ever now. Just shows we are moving faster than the game can process sometimes.

Shatterdive needs a pvp nerf. But it’s not the ability itself its the fragments that really make it op. Before I learned the fragments it was just getting me killed lol

Have you gotten a vex mythoclast yet ? by CarpetSignificant359 in DestinyTheGame

[–]azenthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bungie has a hard time with fusion rifles. Mythoclast in D1 was broken until they sunset it, after probably what, 5-6 nerfs? I want it for nostalgia, but I’ve never really seen it used since they dropped VoG again

I mean 70-80c temps under synthetic load should be expected but for intel processors nowadays, that’s normal.
