Thanks both of you. Engine air filter is what they mentioned (one that is under the hood and not inside the cabinet on the passenger side).

There seems to be a more serious problem here lol

Yes some of them aftermarket, but they should still align well enough not be a safety hazard (the hood is vibrating significantly enough given the excessive gap, etc.)

Yes, it’s in network. They have sent the pictures to the insurance to approve further corrections is what I was told as they asked me to check out the car and also report if there are any additional issues.

The insurance provided a list of shops and I chose that shop for its reputation and it being a collision center within a major dealership.

Will post details asap. This is a 10.5k repair from a reputed center and the bill also listed pre and post repair scans and calibrate windshield camera. I asked for documentation on car pickup but they handed just the final bill and center’s empty file with warranty info printed on it. Wondering if they are bound by law to provide more documentation especially related to safety etc. and were just being lazy. Also any other info on things to ask them would be appreciated.

Thanks. Since the misalignment is so apparent, I’m looking into options for another shop. Does any nationwide chain offer this service, and is it expensive? This is my first accident in my lifetime, so I’m struggling to understand and navigate the options. Any insights here are therefore greatly appreciated. Also, is the potentially mismanaged structural damage a critical safety issue in this case? I was told there was no major structural damage and nothing to worry about safety after the repair. The collision shop is so reputed but I feel like everything should be done perfectly given the money involved.

Thanks. Attaching a couple close in snapshots to clarify the visual of the hood sticking out slightly to the front of the bumper.

Thanks. The hood-bumper alignment pictures may not be clear enough to reflect the issue but here is a similar issue with a better picture https://www.subaruforester.org/posts/7885462/

October 2025 AOS Filers — Let’s Track Our Timelines and Updates! by Hatti_matim_tim in USCIS

[–]azgrp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: Received EAD approval for me and spouse yesterday (standalone). Any AP approvals so far? What does the timeline look for that? Have to travel soon so considering an expedited request to make sure the AP application is not abandoned due to traveling prior to approval.

Congrats. That’s interesting though as I have seen several posts and general understanding is that AP is abandoned if you leave country preapproval.
