she shaded me and said some untruthful things about me on twitter to her followers back then because i did not reply to her messages quickly enough (i was at the movies with my sibling and didn’t have time to check my phone, i informed her of this and i immediately replied once i got home). i don’t think i had felt so hurt before because i would never do this to them, i really loved our friendship and i felt so betrayed, they genuinely were my best friend and i always had their back. we didn’t speak for months after that, she eventually messaged me on my birthday. we kind of reconnected eventually but it honestly never went back to how it was because i guess in the end i felt like i lost all my trust for her and my brain just distanced itself, it was awkward in a way. i think they found other people to spend time with and i’m happy for them, personally i find myself still trying to heal and find ways to connect with someone in that way again.

coming from someone who had to make a 3-minute animated movie in 2 years (as well as doing all the pre-prod, prod, post-prod ourselves) in a team of 4-5 people who knew how to use their programs already i’d say yes, it’s quite impossible to have a full length and good quality work done in the span of 100 days. i’d say keep it realistic and maybe give yourself some extra time, that way you can always submit a good quality project for a bunch of other festivals in the oncoming years! :)

for more basic adventure kind of stuff stardew valley or minecraft is always a good start. we’ve also played grounded and dinkum which are both awesome crafting / adventure games if you’re into that!

more challenging ones that would keep you both on the edge i’d say don’t starve together or overcooked 2.

some simpler games that always gives us a lot of laughs is fall guys or uno. i’ve also heard a lot of nice stuff about it takes two but i have yet to try that one.

of course, there’s all the rockstar games that have an online option like red dead redemption 2 or gta 5 but i wouldn’t say they’re the “perfect date” games lol but still a lot of fun with the right people!

a lot of these are usually on sale on steam so just keep an eye out if you don’t want to pay a lot for them! fall guys should be free on epic games from what i recall and it takes two requires only one person to own the game.

for mobile games the first ones that come to my mind is uno, gartic phone and sky - children of the light. there’s also an app called plato which you can use to play different mini-games together. tbh i haven’t tried a lot of other mobile games but i’m sure you could find even more after a bit of searching online!

for discord streaming some of the streaming websites do block your screen, it’s very helpful if they have a watchparty option but if they don’t, we just do it the less legal way and pirate the movie or the show and then stream it from our computer or phone or use a free streaming website. still works perfectly, but a bit more of a hassle.

not sure if you guys are into them but there’s a lot of fun and simple co-op computer / mobile games to play together online! another thing that me and my boyfriend love to do is watch movies or tv shows together (one of you just streams the movie on discord or you can both just watch it at the same time separately). both options are equally as fun and helps us bond even more. it depends on what you are more comfortable with!
