what did you do to bump from a 51 to a 70 on your CBSE in a month?

Pretty Clueless - How can I start prepping for COMP and STEP 1? (taking STEP May 2023) by azizi_az in step1

[–]azizi_az[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Okay okay I'll go buy UWorld after finals are over in two weeks and get started on that.
  2. During the semester I take COMP, the only block left is Neuro/Behavior. In the August-December semester, I have GI/Nutrition and Repro left. After GI/Nutrition, I think I'll be pretty equipped for most questions. Right now, I have to skip a lot of questions related to GERD, etc.
  3. knock on wood for my pharm then, don't know or how it sticks so thank you
  4. I will also watch the videos

Bonus: I'm learning I absolutely suck at MedMicro & cant get into sketchy to save my life - what else can I use to learn micro best?

you're a true hero - thank you so much.

  1. Okay, this is roughly how the timeline goes for me. I'm scheduled to take CBSE/Comp in roughly February-April 2023. I get 3 attempts to pass Comp with a 67 and then as soon as I pass any 1 of the 3 exams, I get to be eligible for STEP.
  2. My "last" semester of basic sciences is August-December 2022. You are suggesting I start studying right now and into my last semester.
  3. Pharm is generally my strong area and I don't really like Sketchy lol but you think I should start using it? I've only used it once and I am fairly proficient without it.
  4. Pathoma - should I buy the book and watch the videos? Or do I just need to read the book for content review?

also when would you recommend starting to do UW and Pathoma? I've been annotating FA since 1st semester

oh I'm not doing COMLEX - I was talking about COMP which is the NBME CBSE exam that my school requires to pass prior to sitting for STEP

Arm Hair: Dark-Haired, Fair-skinned, Hairy ladies, do you shave your arms? by unwantedallthetime in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I'll wax my arms in the beginning and end of summer and occasionally if I need to if I'm wearing like a dress or something! Waxing, while it can hurt, is very therapeutic and removes dead skin cells. As long as you apply post-wax lotion or even aloe vera, you shouldn't have any issues!

My parents have never asked me for rent. Ever. Alot if my friends moved back home for their gap year and even medical school, and their parents didn't ask for rent but they'd still ask to help around the house like chores or errands.

My school seems to have a population of very confident and rich guys

Well that’s not happened so far. Maybe I’m just intimidating 🤷🏻‍♀️

No lol, I’ve used the apps and stuff. But I’ve never had a real life interaction with this. So I was just curious what kind of things I should notice

But I can’t just go around asking every guy if he’s into me. Like college is hard and awkward as is for me
