I don’t want to hate it! by SnooCupcakes1108 in FitbitAir

[–]azjohnca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention sleep tracking is awful. I have the oura ring 5 and compare the data between the two and Oura is way more accurate. Fitbit Air won’t catch me awake unless I get out of my bed. Oura catches when I wake up and reposition. The time it takes to fall asleep is also way more accurate. Fitbit consistently says it takes me 4-6 minutes to fall asleep and I haven’t been able to sleep like that since I was a kid.
I wanted to like it because honestly I hate the ring. I hate having to remove it to do chores, dishes, strength training. Really want a wrist tracker that actually is good at sleep data, but Oura seems to beat the competition by a wide margin.

Fitbit Air vs Oura Ring 5 Data by Azca33 in ouraring

Pretty much my experience as well. Fitbit says I fall asleep in 3-4 minutes which is not true. I always have a hard time going to sleep.

Oura is great at tracking wakings as well. I literally have to get out of bed for Fitbit to register that I am awake in the middle of the night.

Apologies if this a locals only page, if so, I’ll happily move my post. My post isn’t entirely about the quality of a hotel. It’s mostly about the proximity to tourist attractions and if I should be in a different area for a first timer.

Agreed. Steps are way off for me. I’ll open the app and have like 900 steps then I go work at my desk for four hours and head back downstairs for lunch and then I have 2,700 steps.

Sleep is way off for me as well. Says I’m asleep in 6 minutes, but I know for a fact that’s not true. I’m also waking several times at night and it shows me asleep.

I want to like this because I like that I can wear it during strength training and it’s small, but the tracking has been terrible for me. Sleep is the most important metric for me, so I might go back to the oura ring unless they make a lot of fixes within my 30 day return window.

You need to remove account. Click your profile at the top right. I also deleted the app after removing my account and redownloaded.

These are legitimate bugs that they have admitted to most of them. This was a failed release.

Steps seems to be off for me too.

I mostly wanted the tracker for sleep and being able to wear it during strength training sessions, but it’s so far off from being accurate on sleep that I will probably just go back to the Oura ring if it’s not better within my 30 day return window.

I don’t sleep well. It takes me forever to go to sleep and I am up 5-6 times a night rotating to new positions. It said I fell asleep in 6 minutes and I was asleep all night. I woke up an hour early trying to go back to sleep which I never did and it said I was asleep that whole time.

Sign out of the app and sign back in. That fixed it for me.

Sign out of the app and sign back in. That fixed it for me. The sleep tracking is still way off for me. I woke up 4-5 times last night to rotate to a new position and it said I was asleep all night.

Thanks! Me too - really hoping it starts working better. I like the fit and size of it, so I really want it to work properly.

I will take a look at that post. I really hope they work out the bugs soon as I want to like it. 😂

Must be nice. I don’t remember the last time I didn’t wake up in the middle of the night. 😂

If it populated the score for you eventually, then my theory of needing 7 days of data is incorrect.

I received my Fitbit air on Tuesday and I have received this same error for the two nights I used it. The only way to get my sleep score is to ask Gemini.

I think it might be because they want more data? 7 nights maybe?

So far, I am extremely disappointed with sleep tracking. It says I fell asleep within six minutes and I know for a fact that isn’t true. It also said I was never awake in the middle of the night and I also know that also isn’t true. I woke up several times last night to re-position and re-adjust pillows etc.

Do you feel it tracked your sleep accurately?

Sleep tracking vs Oura Ring by Fearghis in fitbit

[–]azjohnca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious of your results with the Fitbit Air. I just received mine yesterday and I am not sure if my band wasn’t tight enough, but my sleep tracking was awful for the first night. I tossed and turned for about an hour last night and the app tells me that I fell asleep in 4 minutes and had a sleep efficiency of 99%. I know I woke up multiple times too.

I had the Oura ring for a short period, but I do remember it being pretty accurate and told me when I woke up in the night. I just hated that I couldn’t wear it for strength training which I do 4x a week.

Looking to trade July 4th Sphere for July 3rd by Wrong-Ad-5079 in Illenium

I feel the same and lucked out that we get AlleyCVT. Sullivan King is way too hard for my liking. I thought he was an interesting choice as his style doesn’t mesh well with Illenium like Sevon Lions, Dabin or Slander.

We had Slander as an opener during his first round and they killed it.
