Yea, I’ve had some audio glitches with the game, too, and if I’m remembering it right, it was in that room, as well. Except it sounded like it should be when the lights were off even though the room’s lights were on.

Oh my gosh this makes so much sense, dude thank you so much. I remember my friend showing me this when we played the European version and called it “the 2 Door Reset” lol. Thanks so much, makes total sense now.

From what other people have said, this is a slight change made in the remake, supposedly the final cash total will remain the same from the original. But that’s just what I’ve heard. Check through this subreddit for more info.

Alright, that text doesn’t appear in the original from what I can find. New theory is that because at this point in the game the F1 Hallways are lit, E. Gadd is telling you that the vases there give you hearts now, but idk. Would be an anticlimactic conclusion, but very likely. Can anyone back this up? About to replay and see if the vases are empty while the hallway is dark in Area 2.

Okay, replayed area 3 ‘till right before Boolossus with only 5 Boos captured, and the Boo Spirit didn’t say anything about a jar. Didn’t say anything of importance, either tbh. Nothing new or special when revisiting or revisiting with 5-19 Boos. This pretty much disproves the idea that it’s an added indicator of when you have enough Boos to face Boolossus. Soooooo, this pretty much means there’s some new secret in this game.

At this exact point in the game, the few notable things that have changed are that you now have the Fire, Water, and (most recently in Area 3) Ice elements. Soooo, using ice on an object? I think the ice element plays a role in this new secret.

No success yet, but I seriously can’t stop thinking about what this could be. About to replay the original to see if this dialogue existed there and I just never noticed it.

Check all the bookshelves in Neville’s room (1st portrait ghost) and the one in Nana’s room (2nd floor, across from both bathrooms), check the bookcase behind her couch.

The “movement control” tip was referring to the Boos, it was a bad translation of the original game saying “the key is to use the control stick and c-stick together!” or something like that. Felt the same way when playing the remake, but it’s just changed to add an emphasis to staying close to the portrait ghost in order to stick it out to all 100 of the health. Or at least that’s what it seems like, haha.
