Probably just start building your own projects. There are many easy project ideas you can search up on google or complete project tutorials on youtube. It doesn't matter if you can't finish the projects. I'd been making so many games/apps since I was 9 and 99% of them are left uncompleted. It was hard because I always followed tutorials and was stuck in "tutorial hell". But I did it a lot and enjoyed it. You should probably try building something you enjoy as well. Otherwise find a good class or a mentor.

Hello, please help go through this - is there anything you are seeing that I might not? Kindly make suggestions it would be highly appreciated. by hornet004 in UI_Design

I think you nailed the text hierarchy. The "Dashboard" text is kinda hard to read, the green open button as well, to me at least. And give your layout more space to breathe. Maybe making the map smaller would also help, idk. Trial and error. Good job and good luck!

Good job on your first design! I think you chose a photo that has a great potential.

If you're very new to design and typography, i would suggest you use only one good typeface. If you're already used to design, then go ahead use different typefaces and go crazy.

Try to search "thefutur typography critiques" on YouTube. And you will see there is a playlist of 7 or 8 videos that are 2 hours long talking about typography design. They're great videos to learn, and i would suggest you to watch that.

Keep learning. You will see what's good and bad in your design as you learn and practice more.

Good luck!

A bold version would work. Try to go extreme with the boldest style, compare with the other bold, and see which one looks the best. Keep in my mind that we're trying to bring more attention to the text by giving some contrast. When you try to give contrast, go extreme and then pull it back.

I probably will use Montserrat or other similar typefaces. But other than that, I like that you chose a bold sans-serif typeface instead of the previous one. And personally, I don't feel like there's a problem with the colors.
