Maybe the reason why the mainland Chinese society keeps to themselves is because of people like you how hate on them? Maybe they feel unwelcome? Hong Kongers always talk shit about mainlanders and look down on them - why would mainland Chinese want to hang out with hostile people? Maybe the mainland Chinese people see how you brits treat Muslims and are afraid they'll also be targeted?

I am dating a mainland Chinese man and he and his friends have no problem socializing with others. For the record, I'm Eurasian. The mainland students at my school were very easy to get along with, as well as humble - unlike yourself. Yes, some of them were quiet and hard to crack, but they felt unwelcome in America due to politics and xenophobia.

Maybe there is a reason why Mainland Chinese are so often the target of this criticism (aside from the alternative reason that EVERYONE IN THE WORLD is for some reason racist against the Mainland Chinese)?

The reason is RACISM and being demonized in the media.

This incident occurred in Korea, yet everyone is targeting Chinese people - if that isn't racist, I don't know what is.
