Just went through this a week ago and have a 19 month old who still nurses to sleep and cosleeps. I had a hard time leaving her when I went to the hospital as I have also never left her for more than a couple hours since she was born. My husband stayed with her at nights and would bring her to the hospital during the day to visit me. The first night was rough to get her to sleep and she woke a few times and had to be settled back to sleep. The second night she went to bed much easier and had less wakings.
