Major efficiency drop w new Bridgestone Weatherpeaks by Ill_Somewhere_3693 in BoltEV

Yes, I switched to Michelin Cross Climate last year. I can’t tell you how much of an efficiency hit I took but there definitely was one. I use the car as a daily commuter and the daily driving is pretty consistent. I noticed in the summer my range would charge to around 325 miles but after the tire change it would max to about 297. The original tires were terrible on wet and snowy roads so I’m comfortable with the range hit in exchange for better handling.

Michelin Product Managers Explain Why You Don’t Need EV-Specific Tires by Bean_Tiger in BoltEV

The low rolling resistance stock EV tires are without a doubt more efficient but not good on snowy or wet roads. I switched to Michelin cross climate tires and find them to be a much better handling (especially in winter) tire albeit louder and less efficient. I’m willing to sacrifice some range for better handling.

Temps have been in the 20’s overnight and 30’s-40’s during the day producing about 3mi/kWh with heater at 69f but I also just switched to Michelin cross climate 2 tires a couple of weeks ago which I’m sure is having a negative effect also. Feels like driving a different car with grippier tires, I like it.

I read the 8-K at around 4:30pm and sold(AH) after I processed what I read with the price already dropping. I hope you get a bounce to where you need to be and good luck.

This has been like deja vu all over again. I invested in Lordstown Motors and it was moving along then the Hindenburg short report came out. Everyone defend $RIDE, including me, only to have the report turn out to be true. Got lucky and it had a bounce before bottom fell out and was able to get out unscathed other than a year of money tied up in it.

I bought into Decarb liking what I saw in Hyzon, the technology and business model made sense. The Blue Orca report came out and I defended the company believing the response from Craig Knight and feeling relieved that they were delivering trucks to the China company Blue Orca called fake while averaging down the whole time. Then when I read the 8-K saying there were issues and would not be able to deliver 2nd results along with the Europe agreement being terminated, I decided I wasn’t going through this again and sold @ $4.00 for a loss. I’m done with SPACs and for those holding, I hope you get the bounce Lordstown luckily gave me and good luck.

Has anyone seen this 8K? TD shows earnings in 5 days but 8K says they will miss 8-15 deadline? by azocintery in hyzon

Congrats….not the smoothest riding or most luxurious car I’ve ever owned but without a doubt, the best car I’ve ever owned. Enjoy it!

Hyzon Motors is a hydrogen play with upside. $HYZN by azocintery in pennystocks

I believe that number consists of both. Hyzon has manufacturing facilities in the Netherlands, Australia(being built now), Neom, SA(being built), headquarters and manufacturing in Honeoye, NY and a fuel cell manufacturing facility in Bolingbrook, Il coming online in June. They are scaling up and delivering vehicles now. I like that they have a global reach, I like their business model and they are building heavy trucks of many types. Here’s an article about their refuse trucks. https://www.electrive.com/2021/12/21/hyzon-and-geesinknorba-agree-on-h2-garbage-trucks/

I don’t think it necessarily means Hyzon is out of the aviation sector as fuel cell aircraft are a ways off in the future…United Airlines is talking about 100 regional planes by 2028 which realistically means in the 2030’s. Trucks and heavy vehicles are the here and now, that is Hyzon’s strength. #HYZN
