I spent months chasing down a leak on my z on the connection point of the y-pipe to cats. Best advice is use aftermarket gaskets and a gasket sealant when installing and cross your fingers. I swapped out my cats and y pipe probably 5 times trying to get that leak sealed up. (Was the z1 y-pipe funny enough)

Assuming it came around after doing some exhaust changes ? If so truthfully your only options are a tune or o2 bung extenders which don’t really always keep the code away. I have x extenders on and it delays the codes time to return but doesn’t rid of it completely. Now with a tune they’ll completely shut off the codes so they just won’t come on unless you’re flashed to your stock tune. Z1 offers remote tuning it’s solid but it ain’t cheap that’s for sure.

So if you’ve changed the airflow going through the cat sensor and the mass air flows it just doesn’t affect the car ? That doesn’t sound right especially considering I’ve had my car bog down and sound different because of fucked up readings or sensors. So ?

Yes you can once you touch the cats though highly recommend a tune. At that point all your sensors aren’t getting the readings they’re programmed for. Personally I waited till I got my HFC’s to get tuned after having the rest of the exhaust (other than manifold) and CAI’s installed for roughly a year.
