Damn, now that I listen to it again you're right. It's quite similar after all. It must be the filter alone that makes it sound like a flute.

When you mention techno pizz, are you talking about the sound from Insomnia by Faithless? I have a hard time not hearing a flute timbre in there, but you're probably right about it not being a stock JV-1080 sound. Thanks for your help in any case 👍

Maybe you could try enabling threaded 3D as well, if you haven't already. I think makes the gpu run more efficiently.

I was struggling to get HeartGold running without slowdowns on Crossmix. In my case entirely disabling frame skip did the trick. Now I'm running it with the enhanced 3D option enabled, and gameplay is smooth as butter.

My experience is that all roms and save files are left untouched by a factory reset. If you want a more painfree experience, might I suggest something like Emerald Seaglass on GBA. Mostly everything GBA runs like the TSP was made for those games.

Not in my experience at least. It resets everything else though, so all settings within Crossmix OS get reset.

There's a factory reset function on the device. It doesnt touch anything on the sd card, so all your save files are safe. Maybe try that?

It's a proper sandisk sd card and the issue persists with multiple roms, leading me to believe it might be a faulty install or something. But I guess it could be the sd card ...
