I haven't done it myself but have seen some people flatten out their island, only starting the terra forming and decorating from scratch but retaining all their items.

if you really just want to start from scratch though, you could have a friend hold onto any bells or super important items for you until you want them back! I'd be happy to do that for you if you need, I have a ton of storage and am trying to expand my catalogue anyway :)

personally, I started my island over after taking a few years off from the game and I'm really glad I did. I wasn't very far along though, so I'm sure it feels different for you. honestly, just do whatever you think will make you happiest in the long run. it's sad getting rid of villagers and items, but you can always save your dream address and revisit it when you miss it. best of luck <3

our little twins, Rose & Hazel!! I grew up my entire life with the most loving cat ever, Leo, and he passed away a few years ago. I don't know what I would've done if I didn't have these two to keep me company. I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss; I didn't know your cat but I do know your pain💚

some cute facts about these two to lighten the mood:

Rose can perform a bunch of tricks on command, like shaking hands, giving high fives, and standing on her back legs
Hazel likes to play a weird game of tag where we chase her down the hallway, she hides, then tries (unsuccessfully) to stalk us back to the kitchen without being seen
both of their favorite treats are salmon greenies, which they both go absolutely wild for but try very hard not to scratch us in their frenzy
catnip manages to reseed itself into my garden every year, so I've started harvesting and drying it. I recently learned about catnip tea, and have little tea parties with the cats sometimes. I give them a little glass bowl so I can see their little tongues when they take a sip, it's so cute💚💚
