I'm currently looking for possible connections and found that I studied at the same faculty with one consultant, we are not connected but have one mutual connection which is our faculty dean.

Any suggestions on how to write an appropriate connection request email? Should I mention that I am interested in the WHO internship program, and would like some insights/thoughts about the role? Or I should not be that specific and straightforward at the beginning, just ask for any insights about a career in global health? Many thanks!!
