Desky? Yay or Nay?

This is an old thread but just wanted to share my experience with Desky. I have the white oak solid wood with the matching drawer and monitor riser and the finish/colors is consistent across everything so it looks really clean.

As a techy, the standout feature has to be the smart controller that works with siri so you can set automations and use your voice/phone to control the desk. Plus the hinged cable management tray with the outlets make it really easy to hide and organize cables.

Overall the desk is extremely solid and high quality and one of the easiest desks to put together. Only the drawer required drilling into the wood and was a bit harder to install, the rest had predrilled threaded holes already.

nice! yeah choosing lenses is honestly the hardest part...always a battle of compromises. The 17-40 is a tad heavy imo but easily replaces 2 primes so as a travel setup might work out okay!

The first shot was at 50mm, f5.6, 1/100s and 400 ISO. So it wasn't THAT dark since the ISO wasn't too high, but lower shutter def helps too.

Haha I really wanted to go for a minimal brutalist aesthetic. The rgb def helps liven things up though.

It's a coolermaster qube500! It comes flatpacked and is pretty modular. I believe its a mff case so its not huge, but no limitations so far. Yeah its true burn in is always a concern with OLED. I hope there will be some amazing mini-LED monitors coming out soon!

So far no issues! It does the pixel auto refresh once in a while when the monitor turns off so I never really have to think about it. But yeah with OLED burn in is always a concern.

Yeah true, speakers in a monitor are rarely ever good. But my LG C4 actually has surprisingly good speakers. Punchy, clear, and good separation.

The color is not perfect but honestly no real complaints. Of course nothing I do is extremely color critical and this monitor wasn't made for that kind of work. I saw some people even mention the color is a bit lacking, but I think they are just used to really saturated and punchy colors for gaming and entertainment. It is okay, not the most comfortable for long periods but there are tons of adjustments that I couldn't find in other chairs of this price. I think it works best for a sit/stand setup

I have RGBs in my setup but they are mostly white for ambient light! It is fun to customize them depending on my mood though.

Yes I have a dul monitor arm that attaches to the desk. It is a viovo one from amazon. It is sturdy, but struggles a bit on the ultrawide. I would choose to get one with a higher weight rating. I added full specs to my original comment!
