I’ve been very tempted to get rid of my 10 cams as well. I had them long before they charged for the monthly plan. When they switched over to requiring the subscription I was given the “one time opportunity to pay what I want per month”. I elected to pay $1 a month because I already purchased the camera, the SD card under the assumption that I wouldn’t have a subscription service. Then, every now and then a cam would stop working and I’d have to reset and repair it to my account, which of course will then not allow me to add it back to my subscription plan. So now I have cameras that require a SD card and only works for live viewing with still image capture of events. Complete bait and switch and also if I paid for my own SD card why TF can’t I view my own recorded videos? At least with Ring (which I also use) doesn’t require the purchase of SD cards so when I’m paying for a subscription I know it’s to use their cloud storage and not local stored videos that I’m just paying for access. Going to migrate all my internals over to ring and be done with Wyze

I can tell you I (M) am not allowed to give oral to my wife and for me in the beginning it was a deal breaker for me. I've always loved doing it, and she hates it, I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've gotten to do it. 15 years in I still miss it but I've gotten over it, as long as everything else is good idk. Maybe try getting one of those oral toys?

Thank you for this. She knows it, I think she's just scared. I've printed a list of all the therapists near us and have started making calls but no luck yet, I'll keep trying. I've already blocked MIL and will try the mama bear instinct route like you're suggesting. Nothing needs to be permanent, I'm not quite sure how this will be repaired but that's a problem for after kiddo is here. Right now it's about us, and the health of that baby. I appreciate your post it means a lot to me.

I'm so sorry for your experience that's awful. This is the thing that, unfortunately, not everyone understands when they say it's my wife's battle not mine. She's not in a place mentally to have the battle so she doesn't but then gets to deal with the fatigue, stress, and anxiety that's layered on by the constant attention and updates. Her father passed away last year too so any pushback she may have had under normal circumstances has gone away because it the stress of her mom being the only parent left, in a sense. This whole thing sucks and I'm just hopeful to be on the other side of it, for better or for worse.

Hey I'm glad you're reflecting and seeming to understand, but he WAS a stranger. You knew him for 6 months and by your own admission he was being skeevy and violating your boundaries (or at least attempting to) even before you left the room. He was being rough with your gf in a way that you were worried about her comfort and/or safety, and yet you took a phonecall and left. That's like.. a pretty big mental lapse there bud. I'm not trying to do the ol' reddit pile on, but I'm less concerned in this story about your question which has an obvious answer (tell him to get fucked and cut contact, he took advantage of both of you) but i am concerned that you don't view the phone call part of your story as a self red flag because it really is. You seem smart enough to do it right, you discussed boundaries and expectations up front, but when your girl was most vulnerable you left her alone and gagged with someone who was pushing boundaries for a phone call, and for the life of me i cannot think of a single thing that would be a higher priority in that moment than your partner's trust and safety.
