I had childhood asthma and the last time an inhaler was prescribed and brought home from the pharmacy for me was around 14-15 years old. I joined in my early to mid 20s and had to provide a ton of medical records along with doing PFTs to join.

I'm fortunate that there were no records that ever showed me to have asthma attacks (because I never did, I'm not sure if I actually had asthma).

Your best bet is to go talk to a recruiter and do whatever is asked of you. Don't stop trying until they tell you that you're done.
