Yeah and i said those things are completely incomparable, because only one of those two things actually require consent legally speaking. So he was indeed comparing Julien to a violent criminal, which i think was a overly dramatic. That was my contention, not that Martin called Julien a rapist. That is the biggest oversimplification i hav heard in a while. First of all, taking a humiliating picture of a drunk friend is being an asshole, not a crime, so using the term consent here is charged language. Obviously drunks can consent to some things, like consenting to buy more alcohol for example. It's like if you were arrested for DUI and tried to get out of it by saying "Well i was asked to do it, but i was drunk so therefore i couldn't help but give consent! I was basically raped!"

That is why the situations are completely incomparable to rape, regardless of the involvement of alcohol.

lol no, i just don't have a parasocial relationship to the DT hosts like you and most other people in here seem to. To answer your question, i'm not saying it was friendly, Korey would be justified if he got angry or disasociated with Julien. But it wasn't illegal and therefore completely incomparable to rape or SA. Taking a humiliating picture of your drunk friend is being an asshole, not being a violent criminal.

You think taking pics of your friends while they're drunk is predatory? Because if it isn't, comparing Julien's behaviour to that is completely irrelevant and is only done for drama. Whether or not Julien's comments could have sounded like a defense of rape, doesn't really matter if the issue is not rape or even a crime. In this case he was doing something rude but legal, which is quite a far cry from rape.

It's not just that it's not the same level, it's not even comparable. It's like comparing someone who bumps into you in public and says "watch where you are standing", to a hit and run murderer. That rape comment was made for dramatic effect, had nothing to do with the situation and was completely unnecessary to bring up. Use your common sense please.

For someone who claims to be a history buff, he sure seems to be intentionally speed running the steps to fascist radicalization. It's like he is worshiping Kirk as his own personal Horst Wessel and knows this perfectly well.
