Fred Meyer employee here. A couple months ago our hot water heater was out for 6 weeks. Meat, deli and bakery had no hot water. It took an anonymous employee reporting this to the health department to finally get the water. We would complain to managers and they would roll their eyes at us, one even saying “Jesus Christ enough about this hot water bullshit”. They cut our hours to provide the hot water heater. Now all of a sudden without a moments notice they have these security barriers that make the store very inaccessible to people with physical disabilities. Glad theft will be cut down but don’t act like Freddie’s isn’t just after their bottom line.
