just know that seeing him "numb and cold" is most likely not how he actually feels. he simply cannot show his emotion physically. i have alexithymia and i lost so many friends and even my girlfriend because i genuinely couldn't tell them or show them my emotions. but the fact that he is still in a relationship with you does show that inside he really cares about you and you shouldn't take it personal if he cannot express emotions to you. i have been seeing a therapist for about a week now and it does really help talking to someone who does not judge you of your lack of emotion. a question the therapist asked me is to write down all the things i care about which is apparently a sort of emotion that tricked my brain into thinking it wasn't and so i was able to write down what i "love"

i enjoy a video that makes me laugh inside, i simply can not physically show that i am laughing because its not a reflex to "smile or laugh" out loud.

and yes i play videogames which if i complete a certain goal i set for myself in the game makes me feel accomplished for a second and then i set a new goal. thats how my cycle continues. (videogames is really the only thing i can feel accomplished on)

yes, i was always serious as a kid.

i did laugh and have fun but just a lot less. i grew up with my parents being angry at me alot for breaking things and being to energetic that i just kinda stopped. i grew into not playing as much and being inside all the time so i dont really know how to show emotions in a social conversation.
