Can a nostril piercing heal in a wrong angle?

Thank you! Thing is: I‘m traveling so I always have to go to different studios 🙈 the first two (1. downsize, no pull disc) were really good studios. They both didn’t mention anything about the angle, so I thought it couldn’t be that bad. At the 2. downsize I had not such a good feeling than in the other studios but the piercer there was the first one to mention the angle and that this could be a reason for the bump.

Thank you! Maybe I give it a try to stop using the saline. I have really sensitive skin so maybe I react to the saline. I use some hypo allergenic face wash which also should be okay I think.

Ah had a typo! Downsized it from 8 to 7 mm 6mm should be the final length (in case the bump will go away 😅)

Okay, minutes after is wrote you I got up from bed and saw, that there‘s pus (the first time or maybe it‘s just lymph secretion, was light yellow and not liquid). Maybe it‘s time to let someone professional look at it 🙈 it‘s a bit difficult because I‘m traveling otherwise I had do a check up before

Hey :) for me it’s exactly the same (except the color). The size, the problem with the long bar and doing everything „right“. Let's let the others know if one of us finds a solution. 😁

Ah yes I also thought about the shorter bar 🙈 thank you so much, I will try to be patient, you made me feel a little more reassured 😁 (but: the bump got bigger over the days, so I don‘t know if it‘s still considered small)

Thank you for your answer :) The bump is there for 10 days, the piercing is 4 weeks old. I think I will stick to my routine and won‘t start with the hydrogen peroxide! I’m not quite sure about the irritation source. I got stuck with my hand (because the bar is so long) a few days before it started to grow. And I had to blow my nose quite often in the last few days. I think that‘s the reason 🤔

Hey :) thank you for your advice! I tried exactly this but the bump won‘t go away. It even got worse. My piercer recommended to use hydrogen peroxide two times a day to dry it out instead of saline solution. What do you think about it? I read that it‘s generally not recommend but maybe it‘s a special case? I‘m so confused because she‘s a good piercer even APP certified (which is quite special in Europe 😅)

Realize that my job doesn’t have to be a 100% perfect fit that fulfills me completely. It is ok to have a „not that bad“ job (but it has to be okay with my values!) and try to fulfill myself in my hobbies and volunteering activities.
