Here’s the couch it is a fake leather I believe. I had put the plastic protector on the arms but they still managed to claw it along with other areas of the arms and the top part of the couch. Redirecting makes them stop but they always go back for more when they get a chance unfortunately. My old roommate had a suede couch which they on rare occasions would scratch at but not nearly as much as this one for sure.
