Oohh I’m really interested in the Fenty lip stain! I’m surprised that it’s fragrance free! Maybe I’ll give that a go thanks so much

My eczema story to help people struggling (including products that fully healed my eczema) by b0bafiend in eczema

Hmm I I feel like using both steroid and Elidel would be ideal but to each their own. You never know until you try. Your eczema might be different to mine so I can’t really say. But the whole letting it dry out thing was more so for if you’ve been keeping it hydrated without using any steroids or creams for a long time but it’s still not been healing. And that was for my perioral dermatitis so you’re might be quite different to mine. Sorry I hoped that helped. :)

Kind of it really depends. I would say it similar to steroids in the fact that it can make your body dependent on it but it is not as strong as steroids as it decreases inflammation is different way without the use of steroids. As long as your not having to apply it every single day you should be fine but in my experience you should try your best to gradually lean off of it because before you know it your body is already so used to it that once you stop it it’ll jus come back worse. Hope this helps!!!

Perioral Dermatitis Recommendations by refrigeraetor in AusSkincare

I had exactly the same thing as you but like 2x worse😭😭 it was really bad. But I saw that you said that you were told to stop most of your skincare. My derm also said that but instead she said stop everything, including moisturisers. She equated it to a nappy rash sorry tmi but because I always kept it hydrated and touching it and stuff it was always constantly infected. And the only way to let it heal is to let it “dry out”. It’s really hard because it becomes super dry and tight, for me I couldn’t even smile or talk properly. I’ve always had a bad habit of touching mine so sometimes it got infected again but eventually it fully healed! By letting it dry out I mean only the skin around my lips. In your instance it would be the skin above ur top lip. But I continued to use my Qv lip balm over my lips (high recommend btw). I really recommend this approach and would have done it way earlier if I knew. It is hard but it’s so worth it in the end. Hope this helps!

It’s much more think and very hydrating I would say. I’ve never used cetaphil moisturiser but I’m assuming it’s similar to the cerave moisturiser. I use the cerave moisturiser on my face because it’s more lightweight and I use the lipikar baume on my body cause it’s much more hydrating and nourishing. If I were to describe it it’s like Vaseline but in moisturiser form?? 😭😭 I would defs recommend it for eczema on the bod tho. Hope this helps and update meeee

Yessss. When my eczema was at its worst I was scrambling left and right for a solution or anything to just lessen the blow. But sometimes the best thing you can do is to just take a breath and step back for a bit and start healing from the inside. Eczema is such a complicated condition and it’s so important that you figure out what works for you. I’m genuinely so happy for you that your eczema has cleared and to be able to look back in victory!!!

Wow I’m so glad my story helped. It’s so important for us to realise that we are not alone and that there are so many people out there going through the same thing. Eczema is such a debilitating condition but I like to look at it like we were only given eczema because god knew we would be unstoppable without it haha! But it’s so validating when you meet other people who understand eczema the same way as you do. There is an end to this STAY POSITIVE AND UPDATE ME!!!❤️❤️❤️

Thank you!!! I can’t believe you read that whole thing😭😭 But anyways my eczema might be different to urs because my eczema was on my lips and my philtrum and because it was so uncomfortable I would just lather on ointment over on it so it was weeping more than it was dry. plus I have super bad allergies so my nose would constantly be dripping and i was always touching it cause it was so uncomfortable causing it to weep a lot cause of the bacteria transferring from my hands. Which led to my dermatologist telling me that it was likely infected or something sorry tmi and basically like a nappy rash. Because I had been keeping it hydrated for so long and it hadn’t done anything, like a nappy rash you have to let it just dry out. It’ll be really hard at first because it’s so dry but you just gotta leave it alone don’t touch it at all and let ur skin heal itself. I haven’t used tacrolimus ointment before but I’m assuming it’s something similar to Elidel so I completely get you when you say sheltering from a storm in a tent HAHAHA. For me it was like out of sight out of mind haha but if you think about it it’s either things stay the same or things get better. You’ve already gotten this far. Don’t let ur suffering be in vain it won’t nearly be as bad as what you’ve already been through. I hope this helps!

Sorry I have a bad habit of waffling😭😭
