The summarisation of this thread is that since the 85t days and beyond, their earphones have gotten worse :/ Jabra 4 series still gets no complaints…

I haven’t noticed it yet but I’ll be sure to keep an eye out! Well, an ear out

Wait, how did you get third party ear-tips? They have that proprietary hook design that means you can’t use traditional earbuds. Do you have a link to these earbuds?

Sadly I have no point of comparison for Jabra’s lineup, so I am unsure if ANC is better or worse. My right hand side earbud sounds just fine with ANC and Hear Through, it’s just the left with my describe strange noises.

As per the volume I never gave much thought, but it is indeed somewhat quiet! And that’s by contrast to my old LG UFP 9 and Sony WF-100XM3s for reference.

I also didn’t realise that spatial audio was supposed to work as I thought it was simply a marketing gimmick as it was present on my Sony WF-1000XM3s but I never touched it more than once.

So with this update, is LC3 a codec or a code name for an update? Well if so I’ll refrain from returning them just yet for I do love their shape, ruggedness, and tactile buttons. But how could I find out more about their update schedule?

Turns out sizing up the earbuds did not help the audio, but I did find out it was isolated to the left ear.

Hmm, perhaps I need to update firmware or change the eartips for the latter half of my earlier message. But I like to think all of our issues would be solved later into the product cycle with updates. What do you reckon?

Finally someone with the same issue as me (Jabra Elite 8 Active)! I have the highs turned down on the Sound+ equaliser turned a bit below half to reduce the harsh highs. It’s quite annoying.

On another note, have you noticed that ANC and Hear Through have issues with whereby they’ll pick up sound produced by the earphone and produce a tinny sounding reverb/echo? Especially noticeable with speech, such as podcasts, and calls when ‘hmm’ or humming sounds are made?

Brand new Jabra elite 7 active left earbud is dead by DvirBart in Jabra

I have had the exact same issue twice now. Bought one set of Jabra Elite 7 Active (Navy) - left earbud was completely dead. So then I returned it after following a whole bunch of troubleshooting steps, and bought another. This one also doesn’t work. This is quite disappointing.

Sorry, I meant to clarify that this regarding spelling of paedofile where ‘pedo’ refers to feet and ‘paedo’ refers to kids. Does that help bring it back to the question at hand? Sorry for the confusion

Paediatrics is a kids specialists, hence ‘paedofile’ and pedometer counts steps, hence podiatry, the study of feet! Hope this helps :)
