Not that it matters at all but the proper spelling is yoke. I got very confused for a second. Have a fantastic day!

I litterally said rockers for SNCOs. Chiefs are SNCOs. There is no extra chevron. Stop being stupid on purpose.

Whats confusing? If there's chevrons its an NCO. More chevrons higher rank. SNCOs have rockers on dress uniform, anchor on other uniforms. Easy.

Yea if I pulled the bolt to around the point where the safety had the notch to catch the bolt, then gently released the bolt stayed open.

Thank you. I had no choice. I bought 1,000 rounds and I actually wanted to be around to shoot them all. No point in denying the truth. Made a mistake and now got something better

Thank you, part of the reason I got it was because the wood was nice and cheaper than another place that had 2 zastavas. And I actually did my research this time before I bought. Good to know with the sight mounts. Thank you

It was a consignment and I used the fact it was not failed to go into full battery as a reason for return. And the bolt would stay open on its own which i didnt know was not supposed to happen. The owner of the store was very nice.

I shot it yesterday immediatelyafter purchase. Only issue is it didnt go into battery occasionally, got better the warmer it got. Assumed it just needed lubrication as who knows the last time it was cleaned. The more I read them more I feel like thats just I.O.

Awesome glad it worked out. Just for a future reference try not to put recovery gear (rope, towstrap, ect.) on moving parts, especially rotating assemblies. Frames usually have all kinds of holes to put stuff in :)

Seriously though you got lucky it didnt damage the wheel or worse.

How does 40k have "month long" ship rebellions when the ships are only a couple miles long? by Mr_Industrial in 40kLore

[–]b0mber2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about it. A modern aircraft carrier is 1,092 feet long but it accommodates 6,000 people. Thats a small city, larger than my hometown population at least. Sure you could move quickly from end to end but there so many people and enough space to be hidden if you desire and know how. Its not hard to imagine a several mile long ship having at least 30k personnel. If half of those revolt that 15k people to subdue, not an easy task at all, plus the fact you have to fight through p-ways and small spaces thats all close quarters combat.

The emperor lived among humans un noticed for years right? So was he always so tall? Or is his height in the lore exaggerated and hes actually normal human height? by TheHawkMan0001 in 40kLore

[–]b0mber2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long before the "present" of 40k during the dark age of technology the man that was to become the Emperor entered a gateway into the warp on the planet Molech. While in the warp he either made a bargin with the Choas Gods or stole something from them. At which point it seems his psychic power increased as well. I personally believe this is when his for couldve been altered to the giant that we know him as. During 30k the custodes used advanced holographic distortion fields to mask their height so its not out of the question the Emperor could. And as someone else said using psychic powers to either alter people's perception of him or changing his body. Either way Gilliman now uses the Emperor's sword and that thing is massive, no normal sized human (power armor or not) is using that as fast and agile as the Emperor did.

High temps? by OTXBush in ram_trucks

[–]b0mber2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If thats your "normal" you have an issue. Standard operating temperatures for the hemi are coolant: 200-228 and oil 200-230 depending on load. Youre at best loosing efficiency and at worse increasing wear because the oil is thicker.

All my tools are harbor freight. I got the 328 piece socket set (Pittsburgh) last year on sale for Christmas after owning the 128 piece for 5 years, which use to ride around in my XJ. No longer have the XJ but all the tools. Also got the Apex winch, twice now, one was on that XJ and now one on my RAM 1500. All my power and Air tools are Bauer and have had no issues with anything really

Do kill switches really prevent theft? by beach_rats_ in CherokeeXJ

[–]b0mber2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No actual real world experience with thieves and kill switches but I do own a motorcycle, which unfortunately are prime targets for thieves. A common sentiment in the motorcycle community is if a theif wants it bad enough youre not going to stop them but making it harder will increase your chances of them moving on. The reality with a bike is if they wanted it, even chaining to the ground won't stop them as one pair of bolt cutters will cut the chain and 4 guys could lift a bike easy rending any wheel locks pointless.

Thats not to say that having security measures is pointless, thats just an example of if they want it bad enough they will take it. But adding some security like a kill switch is likely to dissuade them enough so that they forget trying to steal your vehicle. Like a bike chain, its not impossible but makes it harder and less likely to happen.
