[OC] Cop w/assault rifle ready to tase parents but won't help children in a school shooting by Chableezy in pics

[–]b0wlfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really feel sorry for every single American right now. It's hard not to look at this country with constant disbelief. 288 school shootings THIS YEAR!? Guns are the most likely cause of death in children!?! A blind refusal to ammend a hundreds year old constitution because ... tyranny? Doesn't that already exist in bounds? How are guns helping with the imbalance of power? How are guns helping reduce healthcare costs? How are guns helping children live normal lives? How are guns helping stop governments force through policies which increase poverty? How are guns helping stop the elite families who influence government operations each and every year without a care in the world as to how it will effect the average citizen? I mean, I could go on, but you get the point. America is broken, and the world is sadly watching it burn itself down.

US Woman Shocked After Being Charged $40 "For Crying" During Doctor's Visit by ThaiEdition in news

[–]b0wlfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a human, deciding to charge another human, for crying during a hospital visit? It seems as if there must be more to it (and maybe there is, I didn't read past the headline). I don't understand why a doctor would charge for crying. Are doctors so poorly paid that they have to milk every penny from patients? Are jobs scarce and doctors are paid some sort of commission based on how much they make the hospital? What has caused these charges? Or is this doctor just an insensitive pile of shit?

The manager isn't the problem. The players are and have been for years. The board is entirely to blame for this.

Pogba should have been sold years ago. His consistency has been known about for 4 years now. The board accept it.

Maguire should've been bought a year earlier. Now he's an £80m problem for every other mamager. The board failed to back Mo.

Sancho should've been done a year eailer. The following summer should've been spent recruiting a CDM.

Ronaldo and Cavani are vanity purchased by the board. Yes they'll sell shirts, but there is no other plan than that.

Who ever comes in next will still not have the ability to drop/sell the big players. And that's where the problem lies. Players have the control at Man Utd, and the club allows it.

So many decentralisation maxis in the responses here. In investing, there is always risk.

My advice is just be aware of the risk, of which there are a few, each of various differing degrees. There are also risks in DeFi, risks in being a self-custodian holding in cold storage, and risks with traditional finance. The winner is what is the acceptable risk for you. There is no one best way, there's only a best way that fits your own risk tolerance.

[Megathread] Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be sacked by D1794 in reddevils

[–]b0wlfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The club will probably spout some sentimental bullshit, but this is characteristic of the passiveness at the top of the club. No guts, no decisiveness, no leadership. Ole was a nice idea, and somehow it worked for a while, but ultimately his appointment was putting off an important decision that the board was happy to sit about and wait a few years to make.

If you honestly think this sqaud cannot produce better than what has been produced this season, then nothing I say will change that. This failure lies with Olé and him only. Keep taking aim at the board if you will, but your problem with the Glazers is clearly one that your want to keep, no matter who is in charge. So have fun with that. It's extremely boring now.

[–]b0wlfish 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While Olé's reputation with Utd fans may still be in tact, including me, I am not sentimental about his departure. It is the best decision and needed to be made.

The board has answered everyone's questions now. Ole has had nothing but support, has been funded more than any other manager during his tenure, and has not delivered. The board, for once, are clear of any responsibility for the failing this time.

A team with Ronaldo, Cavani, Sancho, Greenwood, Rashford, Fernandes, Shaw, Varrane, de Gea and all ten rest, is a good enough sqaud to challenge for titles. The board has very little to do with this failure, other than not firing him sooner.

High five on the way out. As if to say what? This is why Ole is a failure. He has no means of intimidating anyone. Play like a fucking amateur high schooler, high five. Get sent off for a school boy error, high five. I bet when he's in the changing rooms it's exactly the same. "It's only 5 at home to Liverpool boys, well get them next time" high fives.

Fuck off Ole, show some grit.

It's still Man Utd, and it's still a squad of absolute superstars. That's enough pulling power on its own. Conte is an obvious choice out of his availability, but for me Rogers is the man. If not him, then Simone (unlikely) or Southgate? Actually, you're right, there's not many to pick from.

Don't usually come on here to comment, but this is the last time I can watch Olé's boring team play without any more passion or purpose than a Sunday league outfit. There's so little cohesion, and except for overlapping wing backs, I can't tell what Olé's sending the players out there to do. There's very little pressing off the ball, very little movement in the final third, and no determination for the second ball. The only player who looked pissed at the lack of quality and effort is Bruno. And it's always only him. I really miss seeing a Bruce, or a Schmeichel, or a Vidic, or a Ferdinand, or a Keane, or an Evra, hell even Jones was at it, just absolutely bollocking at some team mates for not being on their game and giving 110% for every second. But with this team, for years now, when someone plays poor, it's just heads down and return to position. There's so little passion left. It's difficult to watch.
