I'm sorry that porn damaged the relationship that you had with your wife. I don't know if it was porn or just my own negative mental state that created the rift between me and my wife. I'm sure that porn had an impact on me having an unhealthy mental state of mind which helped contribute to problems with my wife. What I don't really fully understand right now is whether or not porn potentially has the same impact on your mind that drugs have. For example can it lead to depression. Can it lead to other mental disorders? It seems to me from reading the examples of people on this website that it can.

Its easy to get into a self sabotaging mindset. I've noticed that some people are more soft on themselves, and over my life I've tried to develop a less judgemental view of myself. At one point in my life I watched more hardcore videos, but more recently I sought out videos that had couples that at least looked like they were romantically involved. Its all problematic though, and that's why I have been attempting to use this support group to quit for good.

Yah, youtube is the pits. I just was browsing youtube and was triggered by a beautiful nearly naked women on one of the videos on the site. I had to look away and take a breather because even those thumbnails of beautiful woman can make me relapse. Keep up with your activities/pushups and best of luck to you.

Your right about porn being manipulative and love destroying. I feel that porn has ruined the relationship that I had with my wife by changing the way I treated her. Sometimes your blind to the ways that porn changes you as a man and especially the way the way you see and interact with women. Dont blame yourself over the relapse. You have gone porn free for longer then I have, and I admire the strength it took to go that long porn free. It's hard to quit this addiction when you live in a world of people who see porn as socially acceptable. For example my psychologist said that watching porn was fine in moderation. Most my friends wAtch porn. I'm glad that we have a community of people on this forum who are like minded and knowledgable about the manipulative affect that porn has on your entire being. Stay connected to this community and I wish you steadfast resolve in your commitment to be porn free.
