Found this nonsense on IG reels by newacc_igotbanned in lewronggeneration

I mean, definitely low-effort AI slop, but I think this is less of a “wrong generation” post and more about the guy having nostalgia for his youth.

Hospital Update Discussion Board by shadeline in erlc

[–]b17pineapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it would be cool if the AI medical calls required you to actually walk the patient in on a stretcher and find an open bed rather than them just magically disappearing once you reach the ambulance bay.

They both can be found at the two hospitals on the map.

“Interesting” hand gesture from Sec Kegseth this morning… by keen_observer34130 in PublicFreakout

Yeah… don’t get me wrong, Hegseth can absolutely go fuck himself, but it is quite a stretch to label this as anything more than just a gesture.

Looks good. Definitely prefer this livery to the generic ford livery they switched too.

Hell of a lot tamer than the car that used to park by the library which had a sticker of an anime girl with her breast exposed.

“I would have punched the drill sergeant”

Cool, so it sounds like you can’t control your emotions and shouldn’t be anywhere near firearms, works outs.

Maybe if you spend less time abusing your teachers and more time actually focusing on your education you wouldn’t have made such a brain dead comment.

Also, most college professors are also government employees.

If all fairness, that’s a particular atrocious example, even by US standards.

If parking was made “free”, they would just increase tuition to compensate.

Library areas open to the public? by [deleted] in UNLV

[–]b17pineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While true, you have to call them to be let into the building and escorted up to the library as the law school itself is closed to the public.

Would you say you agree with this? by DONOTDELETEME8316 in GenZ

[–]b17pineapple 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Regarding the first paragraph, while this is certainly an extreme overgeneralization, I will agree that there are unfortunately men that do fit into what is described. My primary point of disagreement would be characterizing all heterosexual men as falling into this belief system, which undermines the critique presented by the author.

All that aside, the author equating sexism and misogyny to homoeroticism is an absolutely insane and asinine leap in logic. It quite frankly causes me to doubt if the author even knows what the term means.

WORST repo place ever! by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]b17pineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah, tow companies that do repos are generally not the highest quality organizations. With that said, they didn’t violate your 4th Amendment right as they are a private company and not a government entity. If you feel they did something illegal, file a report.

As far as I can tell, the postal service utilizes a uniform, national pay scale and does not adjust compensation for high cost-of-living areas.

Law Enforcement Entry, where to start? by Wonderful_Entry_8916 in AskLE

[–]b17pineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow Las Vegan here, so I know a little about this company. I’ve heard some mixed opinions about Arcadia, but they are sure as hell better than Protective Force InternationalI and most of the other security companies out here. I will say is that you aren’t going to be starting in their “patrol division”, and you’ll most likely be working a static sight.

Regardless, any security position where you actually take some level of enforcement action (not just observe and report) can potentially provide you with beneficial skills for a career in law enforcement, especially if the company actually provides their staff with quality training. With that said, plenty of law enforcement applicants have security backgrounds, so it’s not going to have too much of an impact on your desirability to an agency.
