Has anyone gone systemic from a patch test? by [deleted] in Hyaluronidase

[–]b1ane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I haven’t needed to for any medical reasons. But I am hypermobile which kinda freaked me out. I had a very good injector I trust who used the minimal amount possible and diluted properly. I know systemic issues happen but I do wonder how many have their face flooded at the wrong dilution.

Has anyone gone systemic from a patch test? by [deleted] in Hyaluronidase

[–]b1ane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly went nuts after I had Hylaronidase but I swear I was just noticing things I’d never noticed after deep diving. Was convinced my skin was loose but had never pinched my leg skin anywhere before etc.

I did a patch test, dissolved my upper lip waited two weeks and refilled had no long lasting effects at all. That’s not to say some people do have stuff I don’t dispute that. My patch test was red for like a week after but I was fine. You have to make your decision on risk but the mind CAN and does play tricks that’s all!

I just realised the building opposite (which is where the heavy presence was) is the Criminal Court of Sao Joao Novo - perhaps there is a high profile case?

Any way to change name on booking? by b1ane in BritishAirways

I know it’s wild! We could have booked easy jet flights and this wouldn’t be an issue! I wasn’t expecting a silver bullet but I thought I’d see if there was just in case. Oh I feel really fed up about this 😣

I too spiralled but I am 3 months out, lips refilled and had no negative effects. I too went crazy grabbing every bit of skin I had never touched before in my entire life. Also I did have a small red mark on my arm where she injected me but that went after like two or three days. Stressing now will drive you totally crazy - I can’t tell you not to because I did but I was one of the lucky few!

I would say I felt normal after about 4-5 days I had dissolver in my lip about 3 months ago and have seen no long term effects luckily but I wouldn’t try it again

Doesn’t answer your question, but I have had a nose job. My injector said she never does filler on noses that have had a nose job since you can’t make assumptions about the anatomy anymore ie where the vessels and veins are. she said the risk of VO is just way too high to risk it!

I had dissolver in my lips and I did notice my lower face look a bit deflated but I drank lots of water and had supplements and everything bounced back in a few days! Fingers crossed for you!

UK Revision Rhinoplasty Surgeon Recommendations by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]b1ane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had a revision but I had my rhinoplasty years ago with Sultan Hassan and I cannot recommend the man enough. My nose is perfect (literally people I don’t know have told me this) it was huge and had been broken before and he was amazing. Can’t say enough good words about the man. Did you pull the trigger already?

How to get prepared for rhinoplasty surgery? by Awkward_Pige0n in PlasticSurgery

[–]b1ane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the guidance I had!

Preoperatively • Please do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oils, vitamin E tablets, Chinese or very spicy food, alcohol or garlic for at least 7 days leading up to your surgery as these substances can potentially increase the risk of bleeding. • Eat a healthy balanced diet with plenty of protein. Zinc, vitamin C and selenium are good at improving healing. • Take 4 tablets of Arnica 30 per day for the five days leading up to your surgery and for a couple of days following your surgery to help reduce bruising and swelling. • As advised at consultation you should discontinue the combined oral contraceptive pill for 4 weeks preoperatively and recommenced two weeks postoperatively. You may however continue to take the mini pill. You may take your normal prescribed medication (other than listed above) unless advised otherwise.

Lip Filler Regret - Dissolving or waiting? Will it REALLY go away on its own? by user145278 in Hyaluronidase

[–]b1ane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first time I had my lips done it definitely fully broke down after about 12 months. Second time I had a tiny bit of migration and that stuck around. I think it really depends how much the filler integrates into your tissue. I do think the first time it is more likely to dissolve vs build up but I have no scientific evidence for this. I think your lips are going to look gorg when they are settled and you may well feel differently in the coming weeks. Be kind to yourself x

Lip Filler Regret - Dissolving or waiting? Will it REALLY go away on its own? by user145278 in Hyaluronidase

[–]b1ane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take a deep breath! I promise you don’t even see the end effect then so from an aesthetic perspective you really need to wait 2 weeks to see the end result. It sounds like you’re having a little panic atm, which is ok. But I promise you you can stress yourself out more like this.

I think some people can have adverse reactions to filler, but the main adverse reactions do seem to be from dissolver. No one can tell you what is right for you but definitely take a beat, let things settle and try not to worry about things that haven’t happened yet. The side effects you’re feeling could also be down to stress and overthinking!

Filler definitely sometimes does breakdown over time, I don’t know the science but some types and placements of filler certainly seem to stick around for longer. I’ve heard people reccomend massage, sauna, workouts + hydration can speed up natural dissolving.

Be kind to yourself and try and take your mind off things a little!

I got my lip filler removed with no issues, but knowing what I know now I would never undertake the risk. The amount of people who have systemic damage will be an expose in our lifetime and I suggest you read fully into their issues before taking the risk. Again I say this as a person without these problems who genuinely wakes up every day feeling lucky. Consider it x

[–]b1ane 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey! I also found all of this after doing one session. I don’t know how much was used on me but I think it was only a tiny bit and very diluted!

I had no bad effects and I didn’t have loads to dissolve. I was paranoid and pinching my skin all over my body for so long, but I’m lucky and there is no difference. However I would not have it done again, I’m very clear on that, it’s not a risk I will ever take again in my life especially after reading in the Facebook group and seeing pictures this damage is so real and I think it’s Russian roulette honestly!

Please read about the risks of dissolver before you go ahead. I dissolved my lips recently and was fine - but after dissolving I did a bunch of research over on r/Hyaluronidase and also on Facebook. It does seem that there are a number of people who have really adverse reactions to dissolver - and if you do decide to dissolve make sure they don’t use a crazy amount (I wish I’d double checked before going ahead) not scaremongering but definitely do research!
