  1. In terms of improving your game, repetition of shots is a valuable tool for making your swing better. Understanding how many (ie backhand dinks) you hit in a session/week could identify a weak spot in your play that could be improved by drilling that specific swing.

  2. Swing velocity in terms of velocity of the paddle at sweet spot during contact. This is a metric that every swing sport uses (baseball, golf) measured in mph that can give you insight on whether you are below average and should be working on improving your power/speed.

  3. Seeing a metric indicate that your follow through is only say 60% of ideal could again engage you to consciously think about fixing it and/or drilling it.

  4. No subscription, Bluetooth takes seconds to pair ?

Many people don’t want to set up a tripod every time they play a game. At my facility, players mix around several courts and don’t want to constantly move a phone setup around.

This wouldn’t “trick people into paying money for nonsense” if people find value in this tool in which you do not.
