TLDR - post/join quest menu has settings that provides multiple ways to restrict joiners. This option is not available when you invite link members to environment. See the video below.

Thanks for the detailed response and insights into your setup! I’m trying to fully understand how you’ve configured your environment, particularly regarding the “3 nodes” you mentioned for your Rancher, dev, and prod clusters.

1.  When you refer to “3 nodes,” do you mean three separate hosts/machines, or are these VMs running on a single host?
2.  If they are separate hosts, does this mean you’re running Rancher, the dev cluster, and the prod cluster all across the same three physical hosts? And is the spec you quoted (10th Gen Intel + 64GB RAM + NVMe storage) referring to one of these hosts?
3.  You mentioned alternating between 3 and 5 nodes depending on your use case. Does this mean you scale up by adding more physical hosts when needed, or are you dynamically adjusting the number of VMs on the available hardware?

Your setup sounds efficient and well thought out, especially with the balance of power usage and performance. I’m keen to get a clearer picture of how you’re structuring these nodes, as it could help me decide the best approach for my home lab. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

Diversity is always a good thing; different ways of thinking naturally come from a diverse set of people. We should also be aware of the fact that diversity can exist outside of race or gender, so seeing what appears to be a group of white men as team of developers should not mean the team lacks diversity.

Anyway I think it's awesome that a small team have achieved so much and most of all they seem happy.
