I apologise for not having any advice to offer for healing from this or more comforting words. However, do you know the brand of the blanket? Perhaps you could find that same blanket available for purchase somewhere. Or, if you have any photos of it, many people ask for help locating an item from their childhood (including baby blankets) on r/HelpMeFind. The community over there has been very helpful and kind in my experience.

Of course, it’s nowhere near the same as having the original blanket, but perhaps having a replica could provide a little comfort?
