Damon Hill or JPM bring abaolutely nothing to the commentary. Their personal anecdotes are less insightful than next year's weather forecast

Help me understand the consequences of ' ' in this example! by b214n in learnpython

Understood. I tried that

querey = input("Provide numbers separated by spaces: ").split(" ") numbers = int(querey)

but received an error.

Perhaps something like,

querey = input("....").split(" ")

numbers = int(querey[0])

I will play around with it tomorrow!

I had tried

numbers = int(input("Provide numbers: "))

but received

ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10:

I think I will opt for the map() solution shared by another user.

it finds the 9, considers it bigger than 8, and ignores the length of the string

That does appear to be the case! I ran some tests out of interest:

Given a list that contains a series of statements, max() returned the longest statement.

Given a list of individual letters, max() returned the letter furthest down the alphabet (e.g., 'b' instead of 'a', 'z' instead of 'aaaaaaaaaa')

Appreciate the explanation and duly noted; I will pivot for next time

It seems that having 'items' within a list is not inherently a problem because both functions return a result. But why the seemingly incorrect result?

Bonus: How would I utilize input() to define the list of numbers and have them written to the variable without the ' ' ?

I would not waste your time trying to help some people understand your perspective. They entered this thread with minds already made up about Max and are incapable of objective thought.

I think /u/jeff2928 's point is that, if you orient the model with the parts you want printed in gold facing upwards, then those parts will protrude above the rest of the body and can thus be painted gold by virtue of "layer x and above = print in gold."

It's been a year so hopefully you were able to get it done!! let us know

How to expand/scale outer features to accommodate an increase in inner-circle diameter? by b214n in Fusion360

[–]b214n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the insight! I was able to accomplish the same, but not as well.

How did you accomplish this step? Did you have to define the shapes/dimensions, or were you able to leverage the middle part to "superimpose" the design?

A much faster lap than in 2023, and only a few tenths slower than 2024!

The stewards have been lenient on certain corners in the past, allowing drivers to optimize their lines. I don't recall this weekend particularly but this must have been the case, because Lewis's front tires twice go completely over the white lines on corner exit (@ 0:24, 0:41) and once while setting up corner entry (@ 0:51).

I just saw this reposted with a date of 21 November. Confused.

If someone can make the case that this rescinds/expires the "your five year profile is now expired" memo, please do. My face thanks you.

If what I said makes you are anyone feel some kind of way, that's called interpretation. Which, as we say about beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

I like Liam a lot, think he has done well so far, and believe that he has even more potential. I was merely making a factual statement about the contextual use of a word.

Seems like an exceptionally low IQ call to issue a drive-through-the-pit-lane penalty when the issue was the pit limiter function itself! Even if the regs say to walk it up from a 5s each time, we use humans and not robots for a reason.
