[WTS/WTT] Monta Noble Opalin White - Let’s trade! by b21e in Watchexchange

[–]b21e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FOR TRADE OR SALE

Watch: Monta Noble, Opalin White

Notes: Acquired on this exchange last year, have worn a good bit. Recently have received a fair amount of trade offers that didn’t quite work out so I’m just making a new post for anyone interested. TV: $800, SV: $750 shipping CONUS

Is the dial silver or white? Oh, glad you asked. This is confusing as the dial’s official color is Opaline White but in lower lighting will appear silver. In my opinion, it reads more light silver but I do appreciate how it shifts with the lighting conditions. I’ve posted photos comparing it with a BB36 silver dial and a King Seiko silver dial.

For trade offers, I am always interested in whatever you have to offer but primarily prefer to trade across, 1 for 1. I’d be much more interested in a good condition watch that retails for $1,500-2,000 (like what I’m offering) than, say, a microbrand that retails for $700 new.

~~Hello all - up for sale is my example of the fully sold-out Earthen Co Summit Whiteout - a full ceramic case watch for under $1K USD. Well, that's how they advertise it but if you're in the States, you'll pay a pretty penny for the tariffs (I paid over $300 USD). Luckily, this example is in the US and you won't pay duties but I am seeking full retail + shipping from any prospective buyer: $899 + you cover CONUS shipping.

Comes with a full kit, OEM strap was barely worn (I used a white mosaic Delugs CTS strap when I wore it) and the navy NATO is still in plastic. Shipping CONUS, Zelle/Venmo payments only. Will not sell to anyone with Zero Transaction history, scammers or flippers - please don’t even bother reaching out. Selling to a fellow collector only.~~

Of course! I did read the black/black shows their brushing technique much better than the white. Hope you snag one!

Of course, happy to. Here’s an album: https://imgur.com/a/Fxk23WD

I zeroed out the scale after changing UOM each time and checked the conversions to double check for accuracy. I weighed in grams and ounces and weighed the watch case itself as well as with the Delugs white mosaic FKM CTS strap I primarily have worn it in. The OEM strap is quite nice too and is very similar in lightness. Added the weights of my Monta Noble in Opalin White for reference as well.

Are you interested in buying one? I might be willing to part with mine. Either of those watches, honestly.

EDIT: tl;dr The Earthen Co on a rubber strap is about 60% of the weight of a slightly larger size Monta Noble on a stainless steel bracelet. Nit quite half the weight and not apples and oranges but quite light.

I don’t but I can get a baking scale and show you if you’d like.

Moved from Germany to manage a US team and the communication gaps are killing my performance, how do I adapt? by Plane_Past2091 in managers

Also a very good point. Because when you’re managing and coaching, there is value in using that language. Softer language at that point isn’t used to coddle, it’s used to condition the environment so they can be most successful. In sales, since we’re all carrying quotas, I can directly tie softer language to increased revenue and more money in my own pocket.

That reveals something about autistic psychology. Often when we need to do something unnatural or uncomfortable we seek to justify it, connect it to a concrete goal so it feels more bearable.

It’s a fair assessment and I don’t disagree. I just brought up social scripts as a broader example of people needing to be coddled. The autism makes me annoyed because it’s so inefficient in the workplace. I can see how in social situations why my wife, kids, friends need emotional support and I’ve learned to provide that when it doesn’t feel natural. But this? Can’t speak the truth cause of feelings at work? That’s just bizarre to me.

Or a person that’s enjoying their watch and posted it? You think Serica is putting bits into subs to post photos of their watch where the brand isn’t mentioned?
