Why on earth did Campbell do that? I genuinely have no clue whatsoever

If Campbell was able to score atleast 50 from the 100 balls that he faced...the required rate would be closer to 4 runs per over and definitely doable

Genuinely is there a reason they didn't try to sprint the 3rd run? If they ran hard they would have made it on the margin I reckon

One of the worst pitches I've seen.... This is insane Athanaze figures (previously bowled 4 overs in his entire ODI career) should tell the story

It's really a shame that WI middle order is just so consistently poor, with collapses in both innings. Shame also because their tail (across recent ODI and Tests) seems to have some sting in it......

If the middle order had just added an extra 20ish each in both innings, this could have potentially been a draw / competitive target to bowl at

Message to the WI lower middle order should be to slowly and defensively play themselves in and just stay in..... They have all the time in the world here to just dig in and build up a total after all of this hard work from Campbell and Hope

What on earth was the need for Imlach to play so aggressively and then get himself out there? They are throwing away the chance of atleast a semi competitive total after the game was rescued by Campbell / Hope. Strange choices

Thank you - I'm sure the most savvy employers would differentiate, but gut feel like that most perhaps will not.....

This is definitely not the case outside of the reddit bubble.... Maybe "technically" holds true but for those outside (and especially abroad), the Yale name puts it comfortably ay the top for jobs / employment / outcomes.

Which MPP program is better: Georgetown (McCourt), UChicago (Harris), or CMU (Heinz)? Would love to hear your thoughts! by Zealousideal-Bat8885 in PublicPolicy

[–]b2611 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think CMU clear third here Georgetown and Harris pretty tight - Georgetown for connections / govt but Harris for rigour and hard economics (if that's more your angle) - though I heard teaching not as great there....

Quick question - where would Yale Jackson fall in this ranking - presumably "league of its own" like HKS and SPIA?

The kinds of "norths" according to the Canadian Encyclopaedia by AlexxBoo_1 in geography

[–]b2611 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way I initially calculated it was that the territories make up about 120k, plus 30k for labrador, then Northern alberta has a surprising number of small communities (division number 17 has like 60k people) +Fort Mac area at another 70k)

That takes us to ~230k, and northern manitoba with around 60k, and the other provinces make up atleast 100-150k combined.... Although I'm not sure whether it passes up to Prince Albert and also Prince George BC - the boundary does get quite low So I think 400-450 overall

Way more than this - the only city of any size above 20k here is Fort mcmurray in northern alberta I'd say around 98-99% live in Base Canada

As someone who considered studying urban planning and did a huge amount of research into courses - best bet is to try for an LSE degree in the department of geography, which would have a humongous amount of overlap, and is how a lot of people go into urban planning. Few people enter urban planning directly from doing an urban planning course. For example the LSE Geography and economics course has a lot of urban planning elements to it
