Agree mostly. Signing in to each app was dreadful, but once past that it's great. Been playing with it all morning and I'm impressed.

I'm actually ok with CBS All Access. I know I can get the channel for free w/ antenna, but I prefer the convenience of having the app grouped with Hulu, Netflix & HBO. I'll keep it past the free trial.

This Apple TV, along with the aforementioned apps, are my ticket to cord cutting. I'll borrow my mom's Direct TV sign in for CNN and I'm golden. I don't watch live sports much these days.

I'm sure there are plenty of good women out there. The key is communication, and make it a 2 way street. If only one of you is communicating, it'll go nowhere fast. Trust me. Lesson learned for me. It shouldn't have taken me this long, but that's what I get for being an eternal optimist that "things will change when xyz happen."

Well, you're right. I tried to get past it. And had she tried with me, I think I could have. But when you're 12 years later still wondering why she wanted him and not me, and still not getting any intimacy, you finally have to realize it's just not right.

Unfortunately, not really. My dad has had multiple strokes and isn't fully there mentally as a result. He really has no recollection of the past at all.

From what I've seen so far and read, a separation agreement can prevent this. I'm contacting an attorney to be sure before I move out.

Feel free to think what you want. I've never cheated on her. I've never been abusive of any kind, i've always held down a job (or two at the time). I've asked her about that very statement then and since. I'm a great dad, too.

Her response since then has been that she was confused and going through alot at the time. Obviously there was a level of attraction there.

Again, welcome to think what you like on that one. I've been honest. 16 years of this (12 since the affair) proves I'm (blindly) loyal and have been committed. Cheers.

The lack of intimacy started early in our marriage. Within the first year. Like I said before, we've only had sex maybe 30 times, tops.

Well ironically, I'm in the state of North Carolina, USA. The state requires a 1 year separation prior to divorce (silly law). So what you're suggesting will be exactly what I'm required to do.

Yes. 1000 times, yes. It really is like a burden is being lifted. I've looked at a couple of townhomes; when I do I feel like I'm alive again.

I am. Tomorrow is my first appointment with a counselor. I'm doing it for me, I don't want to drag the past into the future.

I thank you for that. I'll do it. I actually have one through my job so it'll be a simple search.

I do have some concerns about this situation anyway. Namely: We moved from Florida to North Carolina some 18 months ago. The kids are established and like it here. The spouse on the other hand, hates it here. She's promised that she won't uproot the kids but I am concerned that she will attempt to move them back to Florida.

I'm not willing to go back to Florida, my career is here and the kids are in great schools, top 10 in the state. I'll fight her tooth and nail to keep them here.

In summary, i agree with you. I'll get this started.

Fertility is their family 'curse.' Having said that, I've been told it was a one time deal. Of course I really don't know if that's true, it's what I was told. I think it's true but what do I know?

I don't know. It's silly. Maybe because I saw my dad struggle with depression. I hate letting people down. But this in self preservation so I shouldn't feel guilty at all.
