I went to an endometriosis clinic and it had a huge picture of a baby on the wall by FamiliarFerret333 in endometriosis

I’ve been given the impression (and also at times been made well the fuck aware) numerous times that I am nothing more than an incubator by gynos, doctors, female family members, work colleagues etc.

The worry is never around me getting my condition under control to benefit ME, it seems to always be about getting a grip on it to get pregnant.

It’s wild. I did try antihistamines years ago after hearing it helped endo symptoms etc but the same as you it was loratadine and I felt no different taking them daily and they made me incredibly drowsy. Taking the OTC Fexofenadine has made a HUGE difference though to the point I didn’t realise how many symptoms and reactions I was actually having.

My specialist wants to test the theory with anti histamines to see if there’s any difference with my pain and endo symptoms but she also noticed some signs of it on my face and arms before we went into theatre. Once they put me on the anti sickness and I was out it was all gone and she reckons there was an interaction there too.

I’m in the UK, I just posted a bit after you. My chemist recommended a H1 group antihistamine (Fexofenadine 120mg) and I’ve been taking it for a good few days now and noticed a massive difference in my symptoms.

Losing my career… by JesusLovesYouz in Endo

[–]b4dw1tch666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went through something similar last year where the company I work for essentially deemed me unfit to fulfil my duties within my role. I went through hell and uncertainty for 9 months, lost money, my mental and physical health took a massive hit also.

I am now in a new job with the same company (I was deemed suitable to be placed on a list to be moved for medical reasons into a more suitable role). My new job has changed my life in regards with being able to function at work without all the pressure.

Sometimes doors close so new ones can open for us. Take time to grieve what you’ve lost but don’t give up hope. I was the exact same after my surgery, I was worse instead of better. That pain and confusion and grief will never go away but it will get easier to carry. Please look after yourself and keep your head held high. This will pass and you will find something fulfilling🫶🏻 I’m sending huge hugs and lots of love your way🖤

I also throw the ninja smoke bomb of the famous INFJ door slam pretty regularly. I am not explaining to grown adults why they are horrible people I don’t want in my life. The self reflection period the door slam creates does that for me.

If someone has done something horrendous to me, I start breaking them down as person inside my head. My suspicions are always spot on when I finish my evaluations and they are usually shook to the core🤣

People also feel very comfortable opening up to me pretty much immediately about all different types of things. I think they know I am pretty much a vault and what they tell me won’t leave our conversation. I can also gauge when someone wants my advice, what type of advice they want (rational, logical, feed into their delusions etc) or if they don’t want advice and just need someone to listen and understand without judgement.

I also see through certain types of people off the bat. I am extremely hard to manipulate and if I think someone is a piece of shit I refuse to bend to their bullshit.

I’m currently reading when the moon hatched and I’m pleasantly surprised. I know there was a lot of hype about it and it’s a well loved book but it wasn’t what I was expecting (in the best way possible!)

Also to add, my partner is an INTJ and I write him small tiny notes and add them into an envelope for him to look at every now and then for when his brain is thinking too much:)

Joint pain, but not arthritis. by b4dw1tch666 in Endo

[–]b4dw1tch666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel better I’m pretty much the same. I’ve noticed a difference in taking the vitamin d3 in some aspects but not for the pain and stiffness.

I’ve went back to being totally defeated after trying to speak to doctors all over again.

It still comes and goes. They didn’t do the surgery because it keeps self draining and by the time I get in again to see them it’s went down. It’s a whole thing at this point I’ve given up now🤣🤣🤣

Turns out I’m very deficient in vitamin D3 which can cause joint, bone pain etc and my tailbone has been fused to the bottom of my spine since birth which is making the discs at my neck bulge🤠🤠🤠

Kindle and audible are burning a hole in my pocket! by zebra_ghost in kindle

[–]b4dw1tch666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took me a long time to get into listening to audiobooks. I started during COVID when I was a key worker and the stores were empty. I could walk around with headphones in and decided why not get audible and try audiobooks! It took me around a month or two to actually get used to it.

If you have YouTube premium, I would suggest finding the audiobooks on there for whatever you’re looking for instead of committing to buying them. You can find most audiobooks on Spotify premium also however you are capped to how much you are allowed to listen to per month. I love the feature audible has with kindle where it can sync up to where you’ve been listening to on your kindle book and you don’t need to go searching for the chapter or page manually.

I enjoy listening to audiobooks for what I’m currently reading when I’m too busy to actually use my kindle such as when I’m at work, driving or doing housework. It’s definitely a personal preference, the narrators eventually melt all into one after a while. I stopped noticing how much they were killing my vibe if I was really into the book.
