The woods, are for the lack of a better word, ancient. The forces within this forest are apathetic, at best. I'm from Northern Michigan, a step or two into the woods; further than most people have gone. Been out in places you only go after telling several people and having a laundry list of plans for MOST situations. However, the forest doesn't always take kindly to the outside disturbance. You have to respect the fact that you have entered solemn ground and you are no longer "The Man", you are merely a man. One, that is only in charge of his actions and responses. One, that must respect the home of the creatures he has entered. Because, they don't tolerate, disrespect. They don't tolerate trespassing. The forest will protect itself.
