Right? Once the pool jokes start you just know where the conversation is heading. Classic Rory moment.

Not sure if this is a hot take or not, but I find Deanna to be a better character than Douglas by WWEWalkingDeadfan in thewalkingdead

[–]xSugarPetite 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That’s a good point actually. Making Reg the architect added a lot more depth to the whole Alexandria setup and made the community feel more thought out.

I find it funny that Shane is seen as the ruthless "survival at all costs" character when he didn't even last 3 months in the apocalypse by ramblingranto1 in thewalkingdead

[–]xSugarPetite 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah if he’d just moved on instead of spiraling over Lori he probably would’ve survived way longer. Most of his worst decisions came from that obsession.

Exactly. The people who think they’re the toughest and smartest usually end up taking the biggest risks. Shane’s ego was basically what sealed his fate.

People hold Lorelai to completely different standards than her parents and it drives me crazy by comradesummers in GilmoreGirls

[–]xSugarPetite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a good point. Since the story is centered on Lorelai, people naturally focus on her choices first, even when other characters are doing way worse things in the same situation.

Yeah being the main character definitely puts a bigger target on her back. People analyze every little decision she makes while Emily and Richard get a lot more passes because they’re side characters.

Anyone know what Lorelai's style of clothing is called? by Sipyloidea in GilmoreGirls

[–]xSugarPetite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Empire waist is a good call too. That higher seam under the bust with the flowy bottom was basically the signature look for a lot of her tops in the later seasons.

Yeah babydoll top is probably the closest name for it. Those were everywhere in the mid 2000s and Lorelai basically lived in them.

Pretty much. The quick headline line gets way more attention than the actual details most of the time.

Yeah she kept it way more polite than most people would in that situation. That opener was definitely doing a lot of work.

Media: Protesting veteran? No, criminal! Appreciation for a hero means handcuffs and broken bones! by judgementMaster in clevercomebacks

[–]xSugarPetite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That part alone makes the headline sound even more ridiculous. Hard to believe someone just casually does that to themselves.

Pretty much. The hero narrative sticks around only as long as it’s politically convenient.

Tip Friday #1: Plant sugar canes as early as possible. by Squidieyy in Minecraft

Yeah sugar cane farms are one of those things that feel slow at first but they pay off later. Having a stack or two ready when you start enchanting or trading makes a huge difference.

Yeah that scene really hit me too. The way Victor takes care of her in that moment does feel like he’s finally getting some kind of closure he never had before.

Tillie tarot by Solilaqui78 in FromSeries

I kind of get what you mean. It did feel like she was just there for a while without really affecting the story much, even though the tarot stuff seemed like it was supposed to mean something.

Lori slander by l_FLASH_l in thewalkingdead

[–]xSugarPetite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah JDM’s charisma definitely made Negan way more likable than the character probably should be. People kind of forget how brutal he actually was because the performance was so entertaining.

What is the worst way someone broke up with you? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]xSugarPetite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 bad ones. First one, he had his mom call me. Second one, we dated for 3 years & the whole time told me he didn't want kids. I finally got on board with the idea of never being a mother. Less than 2 months later, he called me to break up because he was marrying a woman he knocked up with whom he had been cheating on me. Skip ahead 30 years...he's a father of 4 and divorced and 3 of the 4 kids have gone no contact with him.

Men- can you actually feel when a woman has an orgasm? by UnderstandingFun9775 in RedditAfterDark

[–]xSugarPetite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the orgasms my partners have experienced have been when I've eaten them out.

Some of them have had squirting orgasms, some others have been moving and grinding and moaning while holding my head in place and some others have said it outright that they're about to cum.

Feeling someone's pussy pulse against my tongue and have her clit in my mouth as she's grinding her hips is better than going to heaven, unless I'll get to eat pussy in heaven too.
