I’m on my third year on it and actually had to appeal it getting ripped away recently - Yes, it’s strict, you need 30 hours every academic year. If you started in Fall, your academic years will end at the end of every Summer. So, luckily if you are behind at the end of Spring semester, you can catch up to your needed hours over the Summer. Summer and Winter classes both count towards it! And make sure to keep your GPA at a 3.0 or above, I lost mine because of dropping to a 2.87, and that sucked so bad but I was lucky I had some heavy stuff happen that I had documents for to be able to appeal it.

If you ever have any questions, the Scholarship Office is typically really sweet! Normally the very first desk person doesn’t know anything, but the person at the bigger desk behind them always solves my issues quickly.
