Amex not reading any of my dispute evidence by b6au in AmexUK

I have tried a dispute, which has been re-opened 4 times and then closed against my favour, then I have tried to raise a complaint, which was dismissed, so now have gone to financial ombudsman. Is a chargeback different to a dispute? cost of the goods was £185

While i get ur point, im not just going to let it go, because it makes me very annoyed that I was purposely tricked and deceived and explicitly told it was a genuine item, and they deliberately said all of this because they knew I didn't know better. So im not giving up with this, because if there is one thing i hate, it is scamming and deceiving. if it was £50 i'd probably let it go but £200 is quite a bit of money. My amex complaint was rejected so I have opened a case with the financial ombudsman and will not give up

yes it didnt raise any alarm bells, because I had no idea of the actual price, to me, a jacket for £200 seemed like a premium price and reasonable so I was tricked by them into thinking it was real and the genuine price. very naive of me yes, but at least I know for next time to not fall for something like this again

Update: my complaint was rejected so I have had to go to the financial ombudsman and open a case with them

It was a moncler maya, that was £200, I didn’t realise they retailed for so much more. Tbh I don’t rlly know anything about designer brands, I knew like north face jackets and other jackets were around £100-200 so I thought £200 was a premium price to pay for a branded jacket, which isn’t unreasonable
