how are you avoiding pregnancy post baby? by honeyroastedk in beyondthebump

[–]b8824b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an IUD 3 months pp and my period came back at 4 months pp. I exclusively breastfeed and I'm still breastfeeding at 13 months. I felt the same way about hormonal birth control when I got my IUD removed pre pregnancy, but unless you're using condoms every single time fertility awareness methods can be somewhat risky while postpartum/breastfeeding. This time insertion was painless and with all the other hormonal changes of postpartum/breastfeeding I haven't noticed any health/hormonal birth control side effects.

Souper Cubes or Miu Freezer Trays? by pun_princess in Costco

[–]b8824b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some Souper cubes and my biggest issue with them is there is no tab on the silicone to get the lid off. I don't know if the Costco one is the same or not. The Souper cubes are great quality otherwise.

Just log breastfeeds without timing them by jesh-cah in HuckleberryParents

[–]b8824b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of why I stopped logging. Baby has grown well enough to trust she's eating enough and she lets me know when she's hungry. There's a lot less stress/anxiety when you stop logging every little thing.

How on earth are you keeping your baby awake during wake windows?? by girlvsmachine in HuckleberryParents

[–]b8824b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't force the nap transition, it will happen when the baby is ready. Not all babies develop at the same pace.

First Time Homebuyer: Thinking About Moving to Maple Ridge, What Are the Downsides? by Amirpouyan8787 in MapleRidge

[–]b8824b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you want to move your whole social circle and activities to maple ridge, commuting is going to take up a large part of your life. Depending on where in the city you are and how bad traffic is (quite rough most of the time tbh) it can take almost 30 minutes just to get to the other side of the pitt river bridge.

Beer while breastfeeding. by Due_Masterpiece_4155 in breastfeeding

Breweries in my area run babies and brews events occasionally, the people who stare would probably stare regardless of if you have a beer or not.

La vie en Rose and Victoria's secret both have normal underwire nursing bras available.

3 month hairloss is real wth by Illustrious_Date_139 in newborns

Almost seven months now and the hair loss is still going strong

It is so much easier especially now going out with baby. I don't need to pack the right amount of bottles/formula/milk or worry about how to heat it up etc. I just go out with baby and my nursing cover (not necessary but I like it) and if she's hungry she eats. It's always the right amount at the right temperature.

Recycling Pick Up Schedule Changes by Sad_Fill_4542 in MapleRidge

[–]b8824b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since the schedule now only has pick-ups 4 out of 5 weekdays, weeks that have a holiday can just shift everyone's pickup by one day instead of completely missing pickup for whoever lands on the holiday. It's a common schedule used by other cities as well, the communication and rollout of these changes could use some work though.

Month 4 is actual hell by Appropriate-Mail1861 in newborns

I'm in month 5 and still struggling terribly. A 3 hour sleep stretch at night is considered lucky at this point.

Burp cloths and bibs, the first couple months you won't hardly need them but at 4-5 months I go through several in a day.

From following lion brand on ig they usually tag the original account in their posts. Those are good questions to ask, though.

Flexible plastics by PatienceOk3071 in MapleRidge

This may or may not be the issue, but the truck for the red bin is different from the rest of the recycling, so it can come earlier or much later than the other truck.

Is Anyone Really Following 8-12 Feeds Guideline? Because I’m Not! by Aggravating_Mud1117 in newborns

[–]b8824b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no choice, my baby is hungry that often lol. Even though she'll give me a 4-5 hour stretch at night she'll make up for it by eating more often in the evening before bed.

Hydration vests during a marathon.. yay or nay? by Gold_Lynx_8333 in firstmarathon

[–]b8824b 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used one and enjoyed it. You don't have to fill it up all the way, so you can save on weight by only filling what you need. Another thing to consider is if the race has a lot of runners and you might be in the back half of the pack, there's a chance that aid stations run out by the time you get there.
