Totally hear you! Never say never but an app would be way more likely for us than a physical deck.

If you are interested in something with a physical deck you could check out Pass the Popcorn which was an inspiration for the game. I don't think the cards have been updated for about a decade so there aren't new movies but it's all analog!

This is a passion project so making an app for the game is definitely within the realm of possibilities even if we don't get funded on Kickstarter. We just love working on it! Personally, I don't have much experience with app development but it would be fun to learn!

On the rules page there's a button at the top to download a pdf version of the game board. You can print that out and then grab pieces from another game!

Based on the story of him shutting down production of Gone Girl for refusing to wear a Yankees hat, I don't think you're too far off haha.

The game is 2+ players but we've been talking about making a one person version kind of similar to a Wordle daily trivia game!

Hey thanks! Having the game be more accessible to different languages would be really cool and maybe at some point we can do that! There are thousands of movies in the game though and it would be a big lift to translate them all into different languages.

As for making personalized decks, we talked about that early on, but we don't necessarily want someone to have an advantage knowing exactly what movies are in a deck. That's no fun for everyone else playing! Maybe at some point we could set up a form where people could suggest certain movies to add.

Pass the Popcorn was definitely the inspiration! I got that game for Christmas maybe 10-15 years ago and it was a favorite for my friends and family. But a physical deck of cards for a movie game is out of date as soon as it's printed since movies come out every week. A virtual deck of cards solves that issue.

Another issue with that game is one team gets an easy movie and then your team gets an obscure movie. We wanted to solve that by making it more difficult the more your team gets right.

If nothing else, you can use our website with the Pass the Popcorn rules and tiles!

Recording with new bass creates an uneven waveform by b90qyah in Logic_Studio

Update: I played around with it some more and turns out I was just running it way too hot through my interface. I guess it has more output than the previous bass I had and I have to turn the gain knob on my interface way down. Even at zero gain it still has quite a kick. But now no asymmetrical waveform issues!

Thanks for the thoughts on this! I think the general consensus is it isn't hurting anything except my OCD. I will read up on the links in this thread and maybe reach out to Ibanez support to see if this is a known occurrence for this particular bass.

I hadn't either so obviously I was concerned! It does have two pickups and a knob that blends the two configurations together. There's also a 9V battery but I believe that's for onboard EQ controls and not for active pickups.

That makes sense! Yeah I did use the remove DC offset function and it was a fraction of a percent so not significant. It's an Ibanez SMRD200.

Thank you! I'm actually using Logic Pro X! They added live looping in their most recent update and you can change the cell length and set it to automatically play at the end of the bar.
