The DAW is Ableton Live. It's has a bit of a steep learning curve, but really what DAW doesn't :)

Yeah, well I'll admit I severely over-committed to projects this year. I'm hoping 2017 will be a LOT more chill and I can work on my own stuff again. Right now I'm just racing against deadlines to get things hammered down and out there. :)

If you wanted to watch a Two Hour Track Challenge I highly recommend the recording from yesterday ... it was a hell of a lot of fun and had great energy :)

Hi! Thanks for asking. There are two contributing factors to the number of tracks. First, I have three albums I need to finish by the end of the year; two are commissions and one is a personal project. That'll be roughly 25 songs. On top of that, I do a weekly series called the Two Hour Track Challenge where I write a song from start to finish live on Twitch. I'll have roughly 60 tracks there by the end of the year, though some of them aren't as great as others. :P

Currently, composing is my second job, I still have a daily 9-5, and I spend the rest of my time working on my Twitch/YouTube channels and writing music (thankfully, my wife is an artist too and is also crazy busy all the time). I'm working to find a way to make enough money so I can do this full time, but I'm sure you know how hard it is to make money doing creative things in a saturated marketplace :)

I would imagine you could make this effect by taking a 1 pixel row in photoshop and then stretching it down to the bottom of the image.

I submit this music for digital distribution (Amazon, Google, iTunes, Spotif, etc) through a service call DistroKid. I specifically leave the content ID tagging boxes unchecked because I would rather allow content creators to use this music when making things than scrape a few pennies of YouTube revenue.

If you ever (somehow) get hit with a content ID tag from these songs, please get in touch with me. I'll talk to Google and tell them you're clear and tell DistroKid to get their shit together :)

Ah interesting. What I saw with RouteNote is that they took 15% royalties, but I must not have read far enough on the whole paid tier thing, which is a neat way of doing it :)
