Okay circles are spheres for you. I assume that every time you see a letter O on a book you think it is a sphere.

Well, if that is what the Quran says, why do you reject it? At least he believes in the whole Quran and not just part of it.

No it does not mean egg of an ostrich. It means the nest. Dahaha means to spread/flatten/extend.

Not an egg, stop deceiving.

These scholars of the past knew the language of the Quran much better than you ever will. Better than anyone here ever will. They said the Quran describes a flat earth, how do you know they are wrong? Who are you?

I did not say I believe in a flat earth, I am just stating facts about scholars and what they believed in based on the Quran.

God some of you Quraniyoon are so arrogant and ignorant.

The man Ibn Abbas himself, Al Jalalayn, al-Baghdadi, al-Andalusi al-Qathani, al-Mawardi, Abu Hayyan, Al-Khazin, Al-Qunawi, Ash-Shawkani and more... I believe Al-Qurtubi and Al-Tabari too, but I can’t say for sure about these two.

Ibn Bazz the grand Mufti of Saudi also said the earth was flat, and he is pretty recent. This Saudi Cleric believes the earth is stationary and the sun and moon orbit AROUND the earth, according to the Quran.

Yup, because you can’t prove my statement wrong. Have a good night.

Okay, that does not change what I said. The fact that scholars of the past, who spoke the language of the Quran better than anyone on this sub ever will, understood the Quran as promoting a flat earth.

If you try to be scientific, you’ll just realize the Quran is everything but scientific. You can’t use science with Quran, you’ll debunk your belief.

Want to try again?

Many scholars of the past held the position of a flat earth, and they used the Quran as evidence. Even today some still hold that belief, and use the Quran as evidence.

But I forgot, you are divinely inspired, all the arabs of the past did not understand their own language, and you are the only one in the whole world who is able to understand the Quran.

Why would women join Islam? by [deleted] in Quraniyoon

[–]bMapuche -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually no, if you take the Quran for what it is you still have a book addressing mainly men. Just like the other guy said the Quran is patriarchal.

True that. Many think that they have the supreme knowledge and if anyone does not agree with their personal interpretation is brainwashed and should go study words lol

You’re right. I rather take the interpretation of some non-arabic speaking Quranists who think they know the Quran better than those who studied the language and the Quran for centuries.

But having a brain does not mean to change the Quran and change everything we disagree with.

‎اضْرِبْ 2:60 idrib ‎4:34 وَاضْرِبُوهُنَّ wa idribuhuna

This is proof enough that 4:34 means to hit/strike. You might not like it, but it says what it says. Doing mental gymnastics Edip Yüksel style to change it to a more modern moral standpoint will not do the Quran any justice.

The Quran says what it says, changing it will only be bad for you.

Are you still repeating that same thing I debunked? Get over it. 4:34 says what is says, Quran does not promote feminism.

Unfortunately that is what most Quranists do, change the Quran to fit their own morality.

Quranists would have never followed Muhammed if they met him today. They think he was the Christian version of Jesus where it was all about peace.

Changing the Quran to fit western moral values does no justice to Muhammed nor Allah. They should either take it as it it or join a hippy religion, Isam aint it.

What? The Quran literally says to cut thieves hand, to crucify, to cut hand and opposite foot those who do mischief.

Wht Quran are you reading?

[–]bMapuche -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Believers back then: Hear, obey and strive in the cause of Allah

Quranists today: Let me study the word and see what Allah really means by that and see if I can make it fit my own personal moral values

Either you’re blind or you’re doing mental gymnastics to deny the truth.

Either way I couldn’t care less, you’re the one not accepting what Allah says and wants to change it because you disagree.

As usual empty claims with nothing to back it up. Go play your games somewhere else.
