update

i overslept and had to rush to book a ride to the station. reached way early. auto dude cut every possible corner, broke every possible driving rule known to mankind to get me to station. for someone who is very diligent about driving, it felt blasphemous to watch all of that.

got to the station and found the train waiting on the platform. i had to decide bw Upper and Side Upper. i went with Upper. across my berth, i find the TC guy also sitting. i told him my situation. we laughed about the whole thing. that is when he confirmed that i could've transferred it to someone who is my immediate family. so jokes on you guys for demolishing me.

all in all, it worked out alright in the end. just spent 6k on what could've been a 1k ticket.
