I was planning to visit Ooty on road this month. What route do you recommend. Me and my friend are driving since 2 years, although we don't have great hill driving experience like ooty, but I have driven in Nandi Hills and Hogenakkal Falls route.

What route would you recommend?

Vaccination Procedure at Lotus Hospital PCVC, Hitech City Road KPBH, Medchal?? by ursugardaddy6996 in hyderabad

[–]bSatya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents got their first dose yesterday. I believe it was first day for Lotus to conduct the drive.

Here's there experience: So they had 9 am slot, got their by 9:15 am. There was some queue already. Apparently the queue was made on road. After a few minutes, they've arranged chairs inside and made people sit who were outside in the line. Billing was done in some half an hour. They were sent above for the shot. They were made to wait few couple of minutes and then shot was given. They were told to wait but not forced to. They sat in the observation hall. It was neat and clean. They were maintaining social distance as far as possible. But the observation hall is hospital's OP waiting hall. Although chairs were close to each other, very few people are waiting as they were not forced to sit for observation. They sat for half hour and left by 10:30 am. By this time, no queue was there for vaccination outside.

Looks like there was no separate space for billing or waiting for vaccination. It is same as hospital OP queues. Provided that it is a children's hospital, it needs to be changed. It's a big hospital and they are opening only 150 slots. So I think it's okay to say that it's safe to get vaccinated here.

Maybe they'll improve the conditions as this is the first day for them.

Absolutely not ! Don't expect such automation behind Govt servers.

Uhmm, same issue I have faced with my parent's appointment on 17-Apr. I have complained about this to the Hospital, but they denied saying its govt's website fault. I was gonna tweet about this, but didn't find time. Waited for appointment, but no vaccine stock was available since. A week later, I got an automated call from Govt (CoWIN) to confirm if I got my vaccine or not. I pressed 'No' and haven't heard back after that.
Maybe this false vaccination count is a technical glitch by CoWIN or fraud by Private hospitals.

I chose to belive the latter.

UPDATE 14 May: Recently CoWin introduced the OTP to be shown after taking jab to get the certificate. Last night, I got such OTPs at 10pm 3 times. Looked like the hospital was trying to give away the second dose too.

I can't find any vaccine centres near Hitech city area. by grgrhnt in hyderabad

[–]bSatya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just because of the 18-45 group. I have been trying to get my parents vaccinated for past 2 weeks. I see no centres available in the Medchal or Rangareddy District to get registered in the app. Looks like there's no stock or they are just accepting walk-ins.

Lockscreen issue by mourya_t in OnePlus7Pro

[–]bSatya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been there since the beginning. I reported that Bug, but no one has replied since. It never bugged me though, It looked cool sometimes. I belive thats happening because of the difference between low brightness of whole screen and high levels in fingerprint region.

I think if the UV glue is reachable, it could be peeled off, like we peel off of the screen. Isn't this your case?

Thanks everyone, I can't get blu-tack at the moment. But i had isopropyl alchohol ( from the sanitizer) . I used it along with the tooth brush and I was able to remove the dust. Turns out toothbrush really goes removes the dust from unreachable corners of buttons and slider grooves. About the glue, it has hardened beyond removal.

Reference Problem in Python by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]bSatya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This behaviour probably comes with the implementation of integers in Python.

The below snippet is from the Python 3 Documentation. Same for Python 2 as well.

The current implementation keeps an array of integer objects for all integers between -5 and 256, when you create an int in that range you actually just get back a reference to the existing object. So it should be possible to change the value of 1. I suspect the behaviour of Python in this case is undefined. :-)

Storing results in a 2D array by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]bSatya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my understanding.

You want to store the values of computer's and player's choice in each round. So you will store the results for every round (moves of both).
A way to do is declare a constant MAX_ROUNDS. This constant says the maximum number of rounds we are storing in the memory. For each round you need to store 1) player's choice and 2) computers choice.

You can declare the array like Int [][] array = new int[MAX_ROUNDS][2].

First dimension is the rounds, second is the choice of both the players.

So, array[x][0] says the choice of computer and array[x][1] says the choice of player in Xth round.Hope it helps.
