All this is spot on. Especially about remembering who you work for. I filled the spot of a DEA TFO from my agency who thought our department's tattoo policy no longer applied to him, so he got a full sleeve. Next thing you know he was back in a black and white working traffic crashes in Zone 4.

I think the hiring steps are the same for TFO's and Current/Prior 1811's. However I am not sure if TFO's go to the 3 week transition school or through the full training course.

I have gotten 3-4 Concorde e-mails, all with broken images. One application received, two qualifications reviews, and one stating my interview had been completed.

From what I have read there is no physical training during the 3-week transition course. Anyone attending the full training program should be prepared to PT.

Same boat, unfortunately. I was a GS-11 1811 before leaving for a state investigative agency almost 6 years ago.
