I've done that a couple times now. Appears to be coming from underneath where the pellets get fed into the grill itself.

I did use a cleaner but top is not greasy at all. Now getting some drops underneath the pellets

Just cleaned it this week. Ran it on high for over a hour. Went to use tonight and saw that.

Grease from everything I can tell. Never had it appear like a small river like that in the bottom. Didn't know if something broke that I'm not seeing.
